Maybe I am the only one that thinks this is kind of funny.  People are concerned about the ties contaminating the ground.  They have been "contaminating" the ground for 50 years now?  What's another few months.
Obviously Brad Wedge isn't concerned otherwise he probably wouldn't have allowed the ties on his property.
Or am I missing something?

I was wondering the same thing.  Other than the concentration in one site, which should not be for an unlimited time, there were more of them in contact with the ground, in other words, all of them when laid out underneath the rails.  Stacked up, maybe 1% of them in contact?

Far better that they finally got collected from laying all over town looking like sh!t.
