(USMC5811 @ May 22 2008,1:02 am) QUOTE Nice pictures. Thanks! The bunny was taken in my backyard, and the rest were taken at the Star Trail. It was a lot of fun! I sure wish I would run into some fox ... I know they are out there! Posted by fredbear on May 22 2008,7:44 am
Great pictures - what camera and lenses are you using? I have an old Canon AE-1 35 MM that I've taken thousands of pics with but I would like to get into the digital side.

I have an old Canon AE-1 35 MM that I've taken thousands of pics with but I would like to get into the digital side. Thanks fredbear ... I have a Cannon EOS 5D with a couple of lenses, but for these I used the SIGMA 70-300mm, 1:4-5:6. If you are thinking about buying a new camera, definatly get a digitial ... but put your money into the lenses. I have to really struggle to get some of these shots because of the limited range. Some day I want to get really good glass that will pick up a bird in flight from a fair distance. Posted by fredbear on May 22 2008,9:10 am
I hear ya. Getting close is half the fun.....and most of the problem.

Something I would recommend is looking into rental if you just want a week or two to go out and get some good tele shots without breaking the bank.I have used < http://www.lensrentals.com/ > before and was very impressed with the service. Paid $83 for a week with a Canon 70-200mm f4 IS that I took to Brainerd. Lens showed up 2 days after I ordered, and they followed up making sure i got it, and to let me know they got it back as well. Currently I am shooting with a Canon 30D, Nifty Fifty and a 28-135 f/3.5-5.6 IS USM. Posted by justmealmn on May 22 2008,11:55 am

I would want to buy them!! Posted by The Boss on Aug. 22 2008,4:51 pm
