Found this picture on Ebay. Might even bid on it.

Anyone able to tell location by building tops?

william and broadway

Actually I was thinking Clark and Broadway, looking northwest.  The building on the corner to the left would be where the Taco King is now, across the street would be the corner where Margie Barber has computer training (Unique Cleaners corner).

Game, put on Stairway to Heaven and go take a look across the street.  You'll even still have time to hit the head.

I think you are right. Now I see it from your point of view.

I'm pretty sure that's the corner.  I stopped on the way home and parked in front of Tiger City Sports.  I compared the windows and brick patterns.  Further down from the "Unique" corner would be the present locations of the Big Apple, then the Tattoo Parlor, New to You consignment, Doll Museum and law office.  The Masonic Lodge/Civic Theatre building was not built yet.

Between the Big Apple and Tattoo Parlor there's kind of an alley and you can see where this is in this picture, there's an area of lighter colored bricks, it looks the same way today if you take a copy of this picture to compare.

Further down way at the end of Broadway you can see what looks like the top of a house that used to be way at the north end.

Cool picture, I've seen it before.  We sure don't get snow like that any more do we?

Yup. Clark & Broadway was what I thought immediately. Wasn't the SW corner building a Rexall Drug back in the '80's?

Yes, I believe Held Drug was there under the Rexall banner until he moved out by the west clinic next to Benson's on Fountain Street.

Well I won the postcard on Ebay.

Really neat, I think.

On the back it is addressed to Miss Ella Wangen of Oakland MN

Dear Sister,

Will drop you a postal to let you know I got back alright. Did M go this morning? Say sis this picture shows, how the street looked where we had this awful snowstorm. Will write soon. My pen is awful poor.

Your Sis,
Tillie
