On the Star Tribune website they have a little survey of what you think should be on the quarter. They also go on to say that Paul Bunyan was in the running but has since gotten the "axe."Choices in the survey were:
A lake
Fishing
SnowFlakes
Spoonbridge and Cherry
Moose
What do you think?

How about a bunch of Norwegians freezeing their gizard's off? Engraved at the bottom would say, "Minnesota, land of 10,000 lakes, and the world's largest ball of twine".

Instead of the Indian riding West and out of state, perhaps it should be cars with people leaving the state, with welfare recipients from Chicago coming in! Change the State Motto fro Etoile du Nord to Etoilette du Nord!

The moose is gone also. The two worst designs now out of the choices are the "snowflake" one???, and the one where they have St. Anthony Falls and "Headwaters of the Mississippi". Fairly confusing for a State identification since thats not where the "Headwaters" are. Everything else is some combination of Loon, canoe etc. Loons are cool, but the Canadians (Loonie dollar coin) are way ahead of us, and thats disturbing in itself.
