WOW.
Two things that struck me being that this was made 7 years before I was born.
1.  Corn fields out by Hammer Filed
2. Parking meters downtown

I liked KFC on 5th St and Broadway, Hotel Albert, Boyd and Jacks with the Wilson's smoke stack in the background and all the classic cars..

I remember as a kid going with my mom to Boyd n Jacks and Bonanza.
Speaking on Bonanza, what a weird business model they had.  Wax pens and the customers write the price on the food cans/boxes.
Try that nowadays and see how long you are in business. Maybe in the really small towns where everyone knows everyone...
I digress...

I would have been around four.

Things I remember from back then:
Boyd & Jack's
Spaghetti at The Pizza Cellar
The jukebox at Jake's
King's Food Host
That little Vickers gas station across from Dairy Queen
Incredibly good french fries at the truck stop
Riding the elevator at Herbergers
The smell of the foundry and Wilson's
Norge Village
Waiting for trains on Broadway
Bob's Lanes
The demolition of The Hotel Albert
Strips of scrambled egg in the fried rice at The Canton Café

What a great time to be alive. Now the town is a dead husk.

Wow!  Really great video.

I guess this must have been during the Lea College era when they used the Hotel Albert as a dorm?
