Which picture will take home the hardware?

I'm voting for Seabiscuit.

Return Of The King, sir.

I would have to go with Return of the King too, although I think this new movie about Christ just might make a sweep when its time comes around.
Posted by MrTarzan on Feb. 22 2004,5:33 pm
I think that Return of The King will do it.  Though they skipped a lot in the books, they are pretty awesome movies :D

I think either Return of the King or Lost in Translation.  I'd really like to see Lost in Translation take it.
Posted by MrTarzan on Feb. 29 2004,1:22 pm
Have'nt seen it yet.  Is Lost in Translation that good?  Isn't that with Bill Murray, I do like him  :)

Posted by Ole1kanobe on Mar. 10 2004,8:22 pm
Wasn't that the movie about a race horse or something?
Posted by repdan on Mar. 14 2004,10:11 pm
Dear sick of it,

I wonder how I get through the day with being wrong on everything.  At least I don't hide and take cheap shots.  But then again, many people think that's the safe thing to do.

It is tough being in the public eye Dan.  Good luck out there.  Glad you seem to have thick skin.
Posted by GEOKARJO on Mar. 16 2004,12:41 pm
Heres a cheap shot at yeah Dan I paid 300 plus dollars for a rear brake job at your shop,it was never fixed right, after it was returned 2 times I finally got my hands dirty and did the job right
1993 Dodge Caravan Under the name Hove Check it out No wonder you are a politicain

Posted by repdan on Mar. 18 2004,4:43 pm

Business down here is lower overhead and this is passed on to the customers.  They do a great job at a very fair price. Probably will beat anyones price on  tires .

Iowa  just has more common sense. The MN legislature makes it hard to do business  . Just ask our new furniture maker from your county why he moved here.  Lower costs for you is our way of saying thanks for sending business and cleaner water our way.Be sure when your here to stop at the grocery store for food, wine and beer.

Please keep you elected officials north of the border we don't want them to infect ours.
Movie pick Seabiscuit should have won.

Posted by repdan on Mar. 20 2004,7:31 pm
I'm with you on that.   People should check around and make sure they are getting the best value for their money, tires or whatever.

Iowegian, could you work on your legislature to get the speed limit on 35 increased?

Posted by Hanna on Mar. 21 2004,11:55 am
Come on Dan, I've followed many Iowa plates, I thought that 35 mph is their state maximum speed. :D

Best picture....haven't seen any of them. I save my money to pay the higher fuel prices these days.

Repdan, I was wondering what you thought of the DFLs attack ad about Pawlenty? If you can say. If I werent an independant but a DFLer, that is the kind of ad that would turn me off and make me think of switching parties. I had to agree with one of your party leaders that said it didnt bother him, if they keep making ads like that the Republicans wont even have to buy any ads. I think he is right, it did nothing but turn me against the DFLers.
Posted by repdan on Mar. 22 2004,3:45 pm
The ad backfired, I think they took it off early.  There is lots of politics from both sides on the issue.  In  general, the only people that liked the ad were never going to vote for Pawlenty anyway.

Well rep dan I need 4 new tires yesterday and guess where I went not to you

Hi Dan,  I just bought four tires for two of my cars, and did the whole service deal, filters, oil, etc.  Your people were great, and I thank you.  The people complaining here probably would never buy from you because of your party affiliation anyway.  That is the way mid-westerners are, stubborn party loyalists.   I am not saying that is bad, just a fact, so oh well.  You offered to make good on GEO, and he refused.  What more can you do?
Posted by GEOKARJO on Mar. 24 2004,2:41 pm
I have done lots of business there and have been happy until this particular time but, Quality of work is only as good as the one doing the work, I brought back the VAN the first time cause the brakes made noise well the service man  put one side on backwards, that same night after it was returned and we got it back the brake peddle went to the floor due to wheel cylinder damage. Got it back the next day had a noise again the self adjuster broke and I fixed that. Each time someone sat there and had to wait over 4 hours I wasn't bringing it back, we already read ever magazine there. I affiliate with no party I vote for the Man.
