I can't quite decide what's worse, some POS like this that cold cocks his wife(probably a pretty safe bet to say this isn't the first time) or the dumbass woman that stays with him and defends him.

Often times, people with low-self-esteem would rather stay in an abusive relationship than consider being alone. It's sad, but it happens. A lot.

I hear what you're saying and I've seen it happen but I just don't understand it.

Low self-esteem my arse.  It's about the Benjamin's and the lifestyle that comes with it.

Sounds like the "Benny's" are stopping, the Canadian league won't even have anything to do with him.

Sadly that went away a long time ago. To get a not guilty verdict takes money.

Yep, we'd hate to convict him without any proof

I forgot, it's innocent until proven guilty, or until TMZ sensationalizes it.

I doubt they'll get a jury in Texas that will agree that whoopin your kid with a switch is child abuse considering they still have corporal punishment in their schools.

A "whoopin" doesn't leave open wounds.
Posted by Liberal on Sep. 14 2014,11:35 am
Not in Minnesota,  but Texas is crazy. How do you convict a guy for using a switch on a kid when the school can use a board on them?

^^^ever heard of being in the wrong place at the wrong time?

Actually he was in the right place to hit your kid with a switch, Minnesota is a little more hard nosed about that kind of thing.

According to this website < http://kidjacked.com/legal/spanking_law.asp >

Minnesota the law is

Parent/legal guardian/caretaker who intentionally uses unreasonable force or cruel discipline that is excessive under the circumstances is guilty of malicious punishment.
§ 609.377. [Criminal Code] Parent/legal guardian/teacher/caretaker of child or pupil can use reasonable force to restrain or correct a child or pupil.
§ 609.379. [Criminal Code]

Texas law.

Abuse does not include reasonable discipline by a parent/guardian/managing or possessory conservator if child not exposed to substantial risk of harm. Family Code § 261.001. [Civil Code] Parent/stepparent/person standing in loco parentis to child is justified to use non-deadly force against a child under 18 when and to degree the actor reasonably believes necessary to discipline, or safeguard or promote child's welfare. Penal § 9.61. [Criminal]

I think he's more likely to find sympathetic jurors in Texas. I think if he did this in Minnesota he'd have a hard time finding anyone that crazy.

I know of parents that never laid a hand on their kids while at the same time abused their kids minds beyond repair..

Physical wounds last until they heal, mental wounds last a lifetime..

I'm not trying to describe Maddog and CC or SB and pepi when it comes to how they were raised..    :sarcasm:  :D

I do mean it when it comes to Jim Hanson..  :sarcasm:
