What's A&E going to do now that they shoved the x#^$% up Phil's <$$ for giving his opinion to GQ?  Calling so-called "Homos" one step from being beasty boys.

Obviously the group down at A&E are strong supporters of the LBGTs.

Personally, I've never watched the show, but this publicity will likely lead me to check it out...provided Mr. Robertson chooses to return after the show's producers realize their err in the wrong whole.

Now Duck Dynasty supporters are flocking to boycott A&E while the people from the alternative lifestyle group is banning Duck Dynasty.

QUOTE
< Phil Robertson Suspended From ‘Duck Dynasty’ For Anti-Gay Remarks >

After an interview appeared in GQ in which he equated homosexuality to bestiality, used a quote from Corinthians which likened gays to “drunkards” and “prostitutes,” and questioned the “logic” of gay sexual practices, Phil Robertson has been suspended indefinitely from A&E’s hit show, “Duck Dynasty.”

We never, ever judge someone on who’s going to heaven, hell. That’s the Almighty’s job, We just love ‘em, give ‘em the good news about Jesus – whether they’re homosexuals, drunks, terrorists.  We let God sort ‘em out later. -Phil Roberson

Duck Dynasty is a bit (quacky) at times but over all a very good show. One that does not need the usual violence, sex, boozing, and other questionable behaviors. It is one of the last family shows. Sad that a small group can bring it down because their lifestyle is challenging to be the normal over Christanity and everyone else is supposed to say well, ok. :(

I've never watched an episode. I see though that the family is probably going to stand behind Grampa and quit if he's not reinstated. It's funny when the rednecks can hold the hoity-toity's feet to the fire. :D

Doesn't it bother anyone how freedom of speech, moreover, freedom of opinion is being stifled? Crushed & challenged by the likes of gladd?
In 'Phil's' opinion he doesn't agree with gay lifestyle...his opinion...whether one agrees with him or not, isn't the point...its his opinion!

Damn, another time I agree with the Santorini

Freedom of speech would be in the constitution which is being dismantled more and more every day.

It's too soon to tell if retailers will pull the clan's products from their shelves after Phil Robertson made homophobic comments in an interview with GQ magazine.

My Pastor tells us it is not his job to make us feel better about ourselves on Sunday. It is his job to convey to us what is written in the Bible. This means no compromising what is written.
To me this means someone does not change the Word to fit their own interest. This means you take it as it is or not at all. You can only get to God's heaven through Jesus. You must also confess to being a sinner as to there is only one without sin. Changing the Word to fit your lifestyle is not confessing to sin.

Freedom of opinion, pretty much the same if not exactly the same as freedom of speech but I guess you're just having too much fun jumping down a conservative's throat for speaking what's on their mind.

In this case A&E, not wanting to be offensive to there more "limp-wristed" crowd,  jumped the gun, much like all of liberal media which will pounce and pound on any conservative that's gets a little out of line with a comment. They get away with it because the other liberal outlets pile on like a pack of dogs.

This time the liberal media went too far, Not realizing how popular ol' Grampa is and with the typical liberal "knee-jerk" reaction will probably lose a major cash cow.

See, here is the problem. This is not a conservative and liberal thing. This is not Republican against Demacrat. I know plenty of liberal Christians and I know plenty of conservative Christians. The main point here is Phil spoke his mind on a subject asked of him. Unlike some, he spoke what truly is in his heart. His answer did not set well with some. You can't please everyone all of the time. The only one he needs to please is God. He did. If some don't like what he says, take it up with God.

Charlie Sheen Blasts ‘Duck Dynasty’s’ Phil Robertson for ‘Unforgivable’ Comments

Charlie Sheen is giving voice to the voice-less in a raging Twitter rant addressing “Duck Dynasty” star Phil Robertson, who’s in the middle of a controversy over anti-gay and racial comments made during an interview with GQ magazine.

No stranger to being in the middle of a media firestorm himself, Sheen shows no mercy for Robertson in a very angry missive posted to Twitter on Saturday.

“You have offended and hurt so many dear friends of mine, who DO NOT have the voice or the outreach that I do,” FX’s “Anger Management” star said. “Well, news flash shower-dodger, I will speak loudly and clearly for ALL of them.”
In speaking for those who are offended by Robertson’s statements, Sheen refers to the reality star as “mallard brained” and “desperately sub evolved,” among other incendiary things.

He also threatens ”a MaSheen style media beat down” as he insults Robertson’s intelligence and offers some interesting thoughts on the kind of work Robertson can get after “Duck Dynasty.”

As fans of the A&E show already know, Robertson has other avenues in which to make a living outside of reality TV. His patented duck call is at the center of his multi-million dollar company, Duck Commander.

Read Sheen’s entire message to Robertson below:

hey Mallard brained

who DO NOT have the voice or the outreach that I do.

army of scabies and

shame on you.
you’re the only surviving

THIS. Speak out against anything they embrace, and you are ruined.

I wonder how many progressives are threatening to boycott A&E advertisers, or any stores that carry Duck Dynasty merchandise.

I recall during the Chik-Fil-A fiasco a Facebook friend of mine calling for the Berenstain Bears to drop their affiliation with the company (apparently they sponsored some of the kid's meals there), or they too would be boycotted. Insane. Just insane. I asked her what if they didn't? Was she then prepared to boycott Barnes & Noble for carrying Berenstain Bears books? She had no answer for that.

Nice straw man argument.

Believing that homosexuality is a sin is a far cry from carrying signs that read "God Hates Fags". Also, why is nobody outraged about the other things he believed to be sin?

Also, he said that the black people HE KNEW AT THAT TIME were happy under Jim Crow laws.

That said, I don't watch this program or any other reality show, but I've heard plenty about it the past few weeks.

I wasn't asking why nobody is defending murder. Though he did also mention promiscuity. Why is that not considered hatred of those who are promiscuous? Nobody cares about that part, because it isn't considered a protected group.

Comparing him to hate group Westboro Baptist Church (which isn't even recognized as a church by most Christians) is a strawman argument.

You can believe that homosexuality is wrong without hating those who practice it. The comparison was a bit of a stretch.

Either way, believing something is wrong is not the same thing as taking it to the extreme that Westboro Baptist Church does.

Do any of you liberals believe in middle ground, or do you see everything in extremes? If you aren't for something, you must therefore hate it and are a bigot? Is that how it works?

A liberal, lesbian feminist has called the uproar "Stalinist":

< Daily Caller article >

Here's a snippet for those who don't want to read the entire article:

QUOTE
Robertson has been suspended from Duck Dynasty due to comments he made to GQ that have been deemed “anti-gay.” According to Paglia, the culture has become too politically correct.

“To express yourself in a magazine in an interview — this is the level of punitive PC, utterly fascist, utterly Stalinist, OK, that my liberal colleagues in the Democratic Party and on college campuses have supported and promoted over the last several decades,” Paglia said. “This is the whole legacy of free speech 1960’s that have been lost by my own party.”

Even some far-left liberals think the outrage has gone too far, apparently. But I guess that's what has happened to our country—somewhere along the line, Freedom of Speech gave way to Freedom From Being Offended.

I'm Getting Married... To My Horse!

Marriage is No Longer Just Between a Man and a Woman

I'm so thankful that people have finally realized that marriage was never meant to be only between a man and a woman. Why? Because I am in love with my horse and we want to get married.
My horse, Fred, is not only my best buddy and friend, but he is soon to be my husband. We are getting married next month. We're planning a honeymoon at the Kentucky Derby. It will be a working honeymoon for Fred.

In the old days, people assumed marriage was between a man and a woman. The very idea that people could not marry whatever or whoever they wanted to is insane. When someone loves something or someone, they should be allowed to marry that something or someone and spend their life with the thing or person they love. The old notion that marriage is just between one man and one woman is outdated.

Just this week, I was reading where two women want to get married and where two men are in love and want to marry each other. All that love stuff made me realize just how much I love my horse and how I want to spend my life with my horse. So I walked to the stable and I proposed to my horse. My horse, being the wonderful horse that he is, immediately accepted my marriage proposal. I can't wait for the wedding!

Sure, there was a time when such ideas were considered not only wrong, but just plain sick. Once upon a time, the idea of of any union other than the traditional man and woman union was kept quiet and hidden, and certainly not something to be proud of. Boys and girls once grew up with a Mom and a Dad, in a strange thing called a Family.

Lucky for us, today is different. Today, finding a traditional family is not the norm, but rather the exception. We don't have to worry about hiding the fact that we want to marry our horse. We don't have to worry about what people will think. We are proud to shout it out... I am in love with my horse and we are getting married! We can even have human/horse parades to show off our marriage. And if anyone dares to talk down to the fact that I am marrying my horse, well goodness I can just say how offended I am and how closed minded you are, sue for discrimination. I can tell you how wrong it is that you can love and marry whoever or whatever you want to, so I can too.

Yes, marriage has come a long way, baby! You're invited to the wedding, by the way. Please note that the wedding reception will also double as a baby shower and bring extra gifts.

Westboro Christians emphasize the bias of the Christian religion or for that matter the intolerance of all religion
for anyone who has not been indoctrinated into their sect.

Some people are born Gay, some people are born Black, some people are born with a low IQ .

Phil opened his mouth and showed his bias, is this what Christians do judge others?
It was Phil’s right to state his opinion and that’s what he did, maybe for ratings who knows.

If I were true Christian I’d have to stone more than half of you to death for adultery, I could buy a male slave and a female slave,
But you good Christians would put me to death for blasphemy long ago.

What I’m saying here is that book is full of laws and rules that are archaic and just plain ridiculous, most who call themselves
Christians pick and choose the laws they follow!

If someone is gay or black shouldn’t they have the same rights as the rest of US.

Last I heard, people are Gods children, created in his own image, not horses, dogs or cats or any other animal.. The son of God would preach equal rights, human rights and civil rights for all..

Now there is over 130 religions besides Christianity that could choose to persecute those that are different or vulnerable..

Why is it that radical Christians think the world should revolve around them? Reminds me of radical Muslims..

As far as I'm concerned if the likes of Charlie Sheen, and Jesse Jackson are bashing this guy he is doing something right!

I see A & E didn't have a " moral" problem airing a Duck Dynasty marathon all day.

Cracker Barrel about faced in less than 24 hours after removing certain items from their retail stores.

If a small minority of the population doesn't  like the show or his beliefs they simply don't have to watch. I'm pretty sure they won't be missed.

So even though you have likely been to wedding ceremonies where the minister recited those words, you seem to have a problem answering that question.

Christ wasn't speaking out against anything.  Jesus didn't spend His time speaking out against anyone outside of when the Pharisees or Sadducees were attempting to trick or test him.  His replies were usually directly from the scriptures.  Jesus did correct others who did not do right, though.

He was defining what a union in God's eye is.  Maybe you should go back a verse.

And again, is there a middle ground, or if you don't agree with same-sex marriage you are automatically lumped into the Westboro Baptist Church crowd?

For the record, I don't know ONE single Christian who supports Westboro. Even among Christians, they are considered a hate group masquerading as a church.

No...
Its physiologically 'proven' blacks are born black... whites are born white..and so on.
There's a big difference between race & the practice of homosexuality.

Too bad your mom and dad didn't teach you a little respect.

Pretty stupid comment when all of my parents kids were sent to church and Sunday School until they were confirmed..

My mother was confirmed and continued to teach Sunday School through 12th grade and continued to teach Sunday School in later years when we were kids..

You fake bible thumpers could use a lesson in the meaning of respect.. :dunce:

It's too bad you didn't learn anything from all that church and Sunday school.

Did you go running to your mom and tell her you just banged some chic in the church's classroom? And if she is still living would you tell her that today? I'm guessing she would not be real proud...

I really hope you're not as stupid as you sound..

You just have to take away the glory of two young teenagers created by God and embraced in a hot and sweaty moment of love..

Make Love, not hate.. Peace.. :hippie:

My bet is that the girl's name was Rosey And that's what color his hand was after he finished.

If it is true he's nothing better than trailer trash.

More likely fabricated just to see if anyone would react to the story.

SB, did you read the related article attached to your Duck Commander guns story?  Slide fire will be manufacturing and marketing a new style "bump gun" that can be belt fed called the < SFS BFR >.

Wonder how long it will take the lobbies libbies of the west to introduce a bill banning them? :boink:

I've been considering a Slide Fire for an AK, they look fun. :D

My hand has always been a dependable form of love.. :;):

I'm lover and I'm a sinner.. Got a problem with it?

Ok, Bible bashers and non believers....
Where do you stand on this? ???

(CNN) – Satanists have unveiled their design for a proposed statue at the Oklahoma state Capitol, including a place for people to sit on the devil's lap "for inspiration and contemplation."

The New York-based Satanic Temple submitted its proposal to Oklahoma officials this month after applying for a spot on capitol grounds late last year. The Satanists say their statue would "complement and contrast" with a Ten Commandments monument placed at the Capitol in Oklahoma City in 2012.

The Satanists' proposed monument depicts Baphomet, a goat-headed pagan idol sitting on a 7-foot-tall throne inscribed with an inverted pentagram. In an artist's rendering provided by the Satanic Temple, smiling children look adoringly at the devilish figure.

"The statue will serve as a beacon calling for compassion and empathy among all living creatures," Lucien Greaves, a spokesman for the Satanic Temple, said in a statement. "The statue will also have a functional purpose as a chair where people of all ages may sit on the lap of Satan for inspiration and contemplation.”

According to its Indiegogo page, the Satanists have raised more than $16,000 toward their goal of $20,000 for the monument, which Greaves said would "be a historical marker commemorating the scapegoats, the marginalized, the demonized minority and the unjustly outcast.”

The Temple of Satan is less a religious body organized around rituals and regular meetings than a roving band of political provocateurs, according to Greaves. They believe Satan is a "literary construct," the spokesman said, not an actual being with horns and hooves.
