Arby's - been there 3 times in the last 3 months. EVERY TIME they have managed to mess up the order. They are 3 for 3. Soggy under filled roast beef.  Anyone else see the poor service they have?

PIZZAHUT, I ordered a pie, had it delivered. They do not accept checks any more, only cash or debit i guess. So the delivery lady shows up, total is $15. I hand her a $20. She says thanks and starts to walk away. WTF? Hey, can't I get my change? "Sorry, we don't carry cash any more..."
F them. I will not order from them again. At least there is Jake’s, Dominos and GF in town.

HEY PIZZA HUT, wonder why you’re losing business and your parking lot is empty...Poor service management. You’re going under and it's small reasons like this that it's happening. About time you got rid of your automated ordering garbage though. Good for you.

Arby's - At least you can repeatedly rip off the travelers and not have to deal with their retributions. As for a local, I guess I will hit the golden arches instead.

Anyone else struggling with these places?

I called Pizza Hut and spent 10 minutes on hold. I then called Godfather's, got an answer right away, and my pizza was ready to pick up in 15 minutes. Pizza Hut is struggling with being understaffed. They usually have ONE employee covering the entire dining floor. Very poor management. That's pretty messed up that they didn't tell you they couldn't make change, though. I understand their building is for sale, so I am guessing they'll be closed within a year or two.

I don't go to Arby's much, but did a few weeks ago. There were no problems with my order.

I've eaten at Burger King 2-3 times in the last two months. My order was accurate, but very slow. There were three or four other customers waiting for their order. Same for Taco Bell - very slow service, even when they aren't that busy. I get faster service and MUCH better food at The Taco King.

Oh so many smartass answers here but there is one timely solution, don't eat there.
Posted by sumpdump on Mar. 05 2013,9:19 am
I won't anymore.

Taco King - says it all. Very fresh, & quick service. I miss the days that they had the little stand set up at the end of broadway. That was nice down there, never had to fight for parking.

Taco King rings a bell somewhere, when were they in business?

My cousin went ot arby's over the weekend, I asked him if his order was correct, he laughed and said no they for got half of it.  that place is a joke

I went to the Main Street location of McDonald's for breakfast this past Saturday. I had to repeat my order (one egg and cheese bagel without meat, two sausage McMuffins, and one medium orange juice) to the cashier at least three times.

She first repeated it back as the bagel having no egg, and two sausage McMuffin meals. Then as the bagel having no butter. After three or four false starts, she finally got it correct. I guess I had somewhat expected it to go more smoothly, given her name tag indicated she was a CREW TRAINER.  :frusty:

Best Drive thru in town: Taco John. I'm not much of a fan of their food, but wife likes it. They are by far the best.

Worst:
Dairy Queen (on broadway): employees are either deaf or plain dumb
Burger King: Can you park? They parked me for a kid's ice cream cone.
Mc Donald's (on main st). Can hear, and talk over you.

You get what you pay for...there's a reason fast food is cheaper than 5hit...it's 5hitty food.  If you're going to eat 5hitty food expect 5hitty service.

...nuff 5hit.

Whatever you do, NEVER take the newspaper at a fast food restaurant. I was once at... well, it doesn't matter where, since this made all places suspect. I was at a fast food restaurant when a customer came out of the restroom with the newspaper and returned it to the stack of newspapers they provide for their customers.

Don't even TOUCH the newspapers in a fast food restaurant.

You're right, I've never been to the one in Rochester but these places are becoming popular and entertaining. I didn't like Benehana(spelling?) felt like a dog waiting for treats.

Apple bees is gonna loose my bussiness , they have good food and great service, but they have gotten so cheap . WE like to go there once in a while for the mon. $5.00 burgers the burgers are good but each time we go there the amount of fries get smaller and yesterday I got 11 french fries and 3/4 of them were about 1.5 inches long . i had the manager bring it back to the kitchen to the prepare's and told him ask them if this is what they were putting out , I realize its a special but dont insult me

I just got back from eating inside of Arby's. I froze my butt off!!! I swear the a/c was on. I went up to complain and the manager said no the air wasn't on it was just cold air blowing through the vents. One of the workers said he checked  on it and the heat was on but it was only 62 degrees in there. Everyone had their coats on. I suppose if I go there this summer it will a balmy 80.  :dunno:

I have never understood this. If it were 62 degrees outside today everyone would be running around in shorts, t-shirts, and flip-flops, yet somehow 62 inside a restaurant is "freezing"?  :dunno:

LOL I totally agree but this time it was only about 30 degrees outside so I was already cold. And I wouldn't be eating outside if it was 62 degrees. My food gets cold too fast. The portions on my food wasn't too bad but I tried their new sliders, ( I forget what they were called) and they could have had a little more meat on them. Next time I will just go back to my value menu items. And eat in my car!! LOL

Already had Pizza Hut on the don't eat list(actually like their pizza, but not from the one in AL).  We're adding Dominoes to the list. Me and the Misses ordered pizza from them last week and we both got sick(we each had our own pizza from them).  Think we'll stick to Jakes or Godfather's from now on.

Some people are never happy I guess.  Haven't tried the lunch or dinner buffett but let me add a little more info to Captain Negativitys post here:

The breakfast buffett is only $8.99.  Well within reason.  There are scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, french toast, pancakes, bisquets and gravy w/wo sausage, bacon, sausage links, grits, oatmeal, and usually egg bake.  Also a chef station with cracked eggs for omlettes or other egg styles.

They also fully stock the salad side of the buffett 24/7.  I have been there at 2am and watched them clean and restock all of the salad makings, cole slaw, macaroni salad and italian pasta.  Two soups as well.   Soup and salad was only $2.99 with my burger the other night.  For breakfast they stock sliced fresh fruit.  All the plates on the salad side are chilled, and the ones on the hot side are in a warmer.  Nice touch.

Speaking of which for those of you up late like me, they are again open 24/7.  Service is better than  I remember and I have yet to have a bad experience the last couple weeks of several visits under the new management and name.

So they are open now? Last time I stopped in they said around the 15th. Looks like they made it before that!

I hope both locations do well. And this second location will be nice while the downtown is torn up for that Streetscape project.

Just and FYI...

About the time places like Pizza Hut and Dominoes stopped carrying cash, they started putting in a lovely little $2-3 fee (depending on who in town you go with...they all have it). It is listed as a Delivery Fee. When I noticed them doing it, I asked why...initially it was to cover gas costs (we were still well under $3/gal at the time)...then I found out it was more to make sure the drivers didn't get stiffed for a tip. I do tip (hubby delivered for Green Mill up in Owatonna a few years back...when they had one) on bigger orders, but on a small order (generally $18 or less) I don't because their built in fee is more than what I would have tipped.

I bet it will add incentive to those going in to work out now...gotta burn the calories ahead of time, to swing by next door for lunch...or dinner...LOL

Love their menu and their food but their bar manager (?) Justin, I believe is theeee rudest host ever. The young man smarts off all of the time and gives free drinks to his friends. We brought out of town guests there one night and he told them they needed to have reservations on weekends, there were appx 10 other customers in the place. When we showed up we had had reservations, the guests didn't know when they were going to be seated, and we still had to wait for him to "put together" some tables. Never apologized for being rude. The waitress then forgot one whole meal for one in the party, so she ate after the rest were done. Again never came over to apologize or even offer any kind of discount for her. I was embarrassed that we chose that place for out of town guests knowing how rude this man is every time we go in there. The first couple of times I could forgive it as the man possibly having a bad night, which is only human. But this behavior is like this every time. I can't believe he still has a job but I can believe that the place isn't taking off as well as it could be with a  friendly manager/host. Their food is great, prices reasonable, but he is the worst manager I've ever ran across at a nice restaurant. Sooo disappointing.

You are right pre-seasoned food in a bag isn't food, real food is prepared fresh from scratch, fast food comes in bags an or frozen.

Burger king has kinda slow service and the food can be either really good or not the greatest.  :(  I've heard that ours is a big training store. And should i even mention walmart? Their checkouts the other morning had quite a few open but it seems as though when you have line ups their aren't that many lines open. Also went back to see about getting new cell phone but stood back their for twenty minutes at the desk before calling the front to a manager. Assistant manager sent someone from photo because the electronic guy was on break. Could they have atleast put a sign up that said when they would be back?  :hairpull:
