I grew up in this stuff...and in fact, they are going on a month plus of this stuff in Texas (where I grew up). I guess everyone down there has quit saying what the heat indexes are...but with actual temps being well over 100 every day, who in their right mind would WANT to know?

"But...But...But, we've been  driving Prius cars and econoboxes for all these years--cutting our electricity use--foregoing showers--planting trees--the Goracle said this wasn't supposed to HAPPEN!  (whimper, whimper) :sarcasm:    :D

IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD! :flame:  :sarcasm:

I'm pretty sure anyone that's listened to Gore for 5 minutes would tell that what you just posted makes absolutely no sense.

Why do conservatives continue to confuse weather with climate? Is it the lack of education?

Why do liberals confuse climate with changes in weather?

Why do libbies think that THEIR TIME is "normal" in "climate change"?  Who are THEY to say what "normal" is--when weather has changed so drastically over the ages? :dunno:  "Is it lack of education?" :sarcasm:

If ICE- AGE man were alive today, he wouldn't believe that a world existed without extensive glaciers.

IF there was man alive during the time that the arctic coal fields were laid down--with fossilized plant remains in the coal in the arctic regions, they wouldn't believe how COLD it has become there.

That's the liberal ultimate in arrogance--believeing that "History started on my Birthday"! :sarcasm:  :D

Ranks right up there with "WE are the ones we've been waiting for!"

If our forefathers could see what a mess this country has become they would not believe it.

Ben Franklin would twitter, Coolidge would still have a rotary dial phone, James Madison would be intrigued and Washington would get something done

The generators here at the power plant are balls to wall, MISO wants to kick in the gas turbines, profit sharing looks good,  crank up your air, turn on your washers use some more of my voltage please...don't listen to those radio pleas for conservation!!!!!

Using just what I need to take the edge off...only problem is..even the edge is gonna be high dollar I'm sure.

Lithium storage is key. Soon we'll be able to capture and store enough juice to run our own air conditioners.

So if I am to understand this post correctly, you happen to work at an energy plant somewhere. If that is correct, then you make me feel TONS better about my life...On a normal day I have the washer running, dryer drying, dishwasher washing, and the AC on. On a hectic day, the oven is running and stovetop cooking at the same time...oh and lets not forget the fridge that has to keep all the food cold/frozen.  :notworthy:  :notworthy:

My Father was born in 1912, he was a young man in 1929 when the Great Depression ravaged our Nation..Unemployment was high, wages fell, commodity prices collapsed my Grandfather lost the farm, my father went to the Civilian Conservation Corps.
My Father advised me as a young man to seek employment in an area where people would always use that product no matter what the economic condition, sage advice from a wise man...
