It's midnight and it looks like it's over.

I'm declaring Bush the winner.

Looks like four more years of war and loss of civil rights.

It's 12:30 and Bush only needs one electorial vote to hit the required 270 votes. Kerry would have to win all of the remaining electorial votes. And already the commentors are working on 1003 reasons (excuses) why the democratic party failed to suceed. Attorneys are probably already working on their papers...... only in America.

Agreed Paul Harvey.

When Bush does leave office, we will still be in Iraq.

Our war dead for Iraq will be well over 5000.

We will have another 9/11 as punishment for reelecting Bush, Bin Laden said as much.

America will be bankrupt, 4 more years of Bush, the deficit will be over 2 trillion.

But hey, look at the bright side.

We will have troops all over the world, kicking peoples @ss, bankrupting our childrens future. More people in the world will hate us than do now.

Praise the lord, the Republican agenda is a success.  :(

It shows that the majority of Americans, unlike certain posters on this board, were not impressed by Kerry's lack of integrity.

Hoosier: is your glass always half empty instead of half full? You seem so negative.
Posted by hoosier on Nov. 03 2004,11:40 am
Mamma, with all due respect, you have asked me that question a dozen times, Im a little tired of it.

No, Im not always negative, I just see what Bush is going to do with this country.

Im sorry I dont see it like the all mighty Mamma does. Do I always ask you if all you see is thru rose colored glasses?

Enough with the negative $hit, If we dont see Bush as a god we are negative. First it was un American, then you were a traitor.

Mamma, read my little messege at the bottom of my posts, it applys to you.  :D

It is truly the saddest day for me to be a U.S. citizen.  Attorneys on the Republican side were already drawing up papers in areas of the state yesterday morning, if you're trying to make it a Democratic thing.  I think the majority of U.S. citizens want to believe our system is a fair process.  It doesn't always work that way.

I don't think you can look at the results and conclude the majority of voters felt Kerry lacked integrity.  Voters casted their votes for many different reasons.  If you listen to the press, they have stated the polling sited the majority voted on moral issues.  Many Republicans site abortion as a key issue.  What is ironic is that people will site the bible & say it's murder, yet most Repulicans are in favor of capital punishment.  I'm not going to get into a comparison of abortion & capital punishment.  They are incomparable.  But if in your defense against abortion you sight the bible, then you should also be against the death penalty.  Murder is murder in the bible.

I personally do not find President Bush to be a very moral man.  A great actor, Yes.

"We will have another 9/11 as punishment for reelecting Bush, Bin Laden said as much"

So are you saying you expect a foreign radical and criminal to "PUNISH" me for standing up and voting for a powerful America that knocks out the bullies of the world.

OK I'm fine with that.  Go hide under your rock McGinley.  I'll stand up to the thugs and live as a brave American for you.

Ya...fighting from behind your computer?

We will easily lose another 9/11's worth of soldiers over the next four years. We are stuck there forever. Until 2008 when people as so sick if it they'll vote for a guy against the war.

Posted by Frustrated on Nov. 03 2004,3:37 pm
Kerry only opposed the war to the extent he thought it could get him elected.  Paul, how could you be so taken in by this creep?
Posted by Paul Harvey on Nov. 03 2004,3:44 pm
WMD

We won. MN went to Kerry. I did my job. Kerry won here...my vote negated Geo-cons.

Bush won because of rednecks...nascar fans that listen to Toby Kieth sing "we'll put a boot in yer ass". Abortion fanatics. Places that meat out '10 years to life' prison terms for pot crimes.

Yes...we are ruled by rednecks and hicks. LA-Chicago-NY all Kerry. How about we buy an island and let all the rednecks live there so they can hang women who have abortions, own 378 assault weapons, drink and smoke everyday and shoot pot users on site.

Is it wrong for white males to vote republican?  While the lesbians, liberals, and every other welfare seeking person vote democrat.  Just look at the election map.  White males are soon to be the minority.  Go figure after they have produced the vast majority of income for this country.  Toby Keith included.

Actually I don't think I ever asked you that before. I may have told you to calm down a time or two. I don't believe the whole world is going to go to hell in a handbasket because Bush is in office again either. I don't think the terrorists would have liked anything better than to have spineless Kerry in office. Did you happen to see the interviews with the soldiers in Iraq saying how happy they were to have Bush in office again? Do you honestly think one man can do all you think is going to happen? You always seem to think the worst of people. Have you actually talked to a service person who came back from Iraq. I have. They seem to feel they are making a difference in the lives of those people. They don't feel that it is a worthless war. I know they also complain at how the media distorts what they have accomplished while over there. It's time to get over Kerry and stand behind your president.
Posted by Paul Harvey on Nov. 03 2004,7:41 pm
Ya, I bet the soldiers are real happy they'll be staying there.
Posted by GEOKARJO on Nov. 03 2004,9:48 pm
Its official, George W. Bush takes the election and will serve 4 more years as our commander in chief. I guess all the democrat musicians and tree huggers will have to find something else to keep them busy for the next 4 years until they find the next long face to support.

Love him or leave him, he's here to stay.

Posted by Paul Harvey on Nov. 03 2004,10:35 pm
Do you mean the first female president? Miss H?
Posted by hoosier on Nov. 04 2004,9:18 am
Mamma, yes I have talked to soldiers that have been there. And the ones I talked to are sick and tired of being told they were coming home, then being told they werent.

Truth, Im not saying that we should hide.

I am saying that if we are going to be the self appointed police of the world, that we should expect some retalliation in return.

And I would like to know, how is my saying that because Bush was elected that we will be hit with another 9/11, any different than your vice president of the United States saying the samething about Kerry?

And one more thing Mamma, I do agree with you, I dont think the WORLD is going to hell in a hand basket.

Just the U.S. under Bush.

Have we ever had more soldiers stationed around the world?

Have we ever been this much in debt as a nation?

Have we ever been so hated in the rest of the world?

I understand, some here that think its a superpowers right to flex their musle around the world wont agree with me.

But until we start caring, and seeing ourselves for what others see us as, we will never be safe from terror.

If we dont admit to ourselves that other people around the world have legitimate reasons for hating us, then the hate will not stop, it wil only grow.

The sad thing is to me, is that the hatred felt for our government around the world, is being brought down on American citizens, not our policy makers who are truely responsible.

We all talk about 9/11 like it was the biggest tradgedy that ever happened.

It was a tradgedy.

But do you realize that during WW2, the Americans and British, spent a few nights FIRE BOMBING Dresdan Germany?

No military targets in this town. Both governments have said it was pretty much just to punish the people for being German.

Over 250,000 people died in those raids. Not soldiers, just ordinary people.

But they got punished because of their governments desire to rule the world.

In my opinion, I just dont see the difference between what we have done to other people during war, and what the terrorists are doing to us.

Bush makes foriegn policy that gets people killed.

All the while he and everyone he cares about is safe and sound.

Truth, thats kind of my point, we all have to stand up and be brave.

But how brave is it to send others children to die for a war in Iraq that had nothing to do with terrorism.

While you hide behind secret service agents, and hide in bunkers, better protected than anyone that is supposed to stand up and be brave?

I for one thing Bush should send his own daughters to die in Iraq. If he thinks its such an just cause, then he would have no problem sending his own children to die, just like he has so many other Americans.

Our founding fathers said give me liberty or give me death.

Just imagine for a minute that others around the world see us as our founding fathers seen the British Empire.

If they want us out of our own country, then we hit them with everything we have.

But they just want us out of their part of the world. And we shouldnt be there in the first place.

You say what about the oil we buy from that region?

We are there biggest customer, if they stopped selling oil to us, they would be destroying themsleves.

• The latest: To mark the 25th anniversary of the student takeover of the old U.S. Embassy in Tehran, when 52 Americans were held hostage for 444 days, Iranian students burned George W. Bush in effigy again and again on Wednesday. Unlike past commemorations, this one focused just as much on the future -- and the potential for another showdown with the United States during Bush's second term.

Bush -- not Jimmy Carter, who was president during the 1979-81 hostage drama -- was the centerpiece of the protest. Three massive photographs of the president were part of the backdrop for a series of speakers who blasted current U.S. policies.

• At issue: The subtext throughout the noisy morning protest, held in front of the former American compound that is now a Revolutionary Guards training center, was the escalating dispute between Washington and Tehran over Iran's nuclear energy program.

"Nuclear technology is our right and we are not going to surrender our rights to the United States or Europe," vowed one of several such banners waved by teenage schoolgirls packed into the crowd of thousands. The two-hour rally ended with a statement, read to roaring chants of "Allahu Akbar" ("God is great"), that Iran would never give up its right to nuclear technology.

• What's ahead: Bush's invasions to topple governments in Iraq and Afghanistan, which both share long strategic borders with Iran, have led many Iranians to suspect the president is eying some form of confrontation with them.

"If America is going to attack us, it's important to protect ourselves," said Shiva Mosapour, a 16-year-old high school student holding an enveloping black chador tight under her chin.

Mosapour's assumption about Bush's intentions during his second term echoed many in a young generation that doesn't remember the monarchy -- or the seizure of the U.S. Embassy in response to the Carter administration's decision to take in the dying Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi after his ouster. For her, the demonstration was appropriate because it fell on the U.S. election day 25 years later.

"What Bush says is nonsense about the reasons for attacks on other countries -- that he does it all in the name of democracy," a 15-year-old high school sophomore named Muhammad said. "Look how many people his decisions have killed in Iraq."

This article is exactly my point. This is the way people see us around the world.

We arent going to change these minds by attacking there countries because they want the same weapons to protect themsleves that we use to protect us.

If we dont see the hipocracy in that, we are doomed to fail.

Well, you see...it's not enough that neo-cons declare war on its own people, they must declare war on the world and insist they live the right and correct God fearing ways. To them it's simply about domination and good against evil... and of course they are the good ones and of course everyone else in the world is evil. They're even taking on half the US population at the same time!

Never believe anything that comes out of Tehran. I watch Mosaic nearly everyday, it's a 30 min news program on World Link TV that shows highlights of the daily news from 5-7 different countries in the middle east. Iran has complete and total control of their media and their citizens. They have mandatory flag burning protests on a regular basis and then they film it and give the footage to the western media. Most credible news sources from the west won't even show footage from Tehran anymore.

I'm also highly suspicious of their Iranian plutonium enrichment vote that the media showed just before the election. I'm not saying that Iran didn't have the vote and that they weren't chanting "Death to America", I'm just saying that it's not a credible enough story to show the footage on the news in the United States.

Posted by hoosier on Nov. 04 2004,12:46 pm
Good point Liberal.

But you cant discount the fact that if not in Iran, others around the world see us as we are discribed in that article.

John Kerry says he could do a better job in Iraq! That is a lie, because he voted against the first war in Iraq, then for the second war before he voted against it. He is a flippen flip flopper! Kerry lost the election because he is very weak on defense (see 20 year voting record), and he has very weak morals. Kerry would rather fight terrorists with a more sensitive approach in your back yard.

Kerry also kept crying about outsourcing of jobs! What the hell is he talking about. First, his wife has 26 manufacturing plants abroad to take advantage of cheap labor. Then under Clinton, the democrats passed NAFTA, which was a major blow to the unions. Jobs flew across our southern border, and when companies realized the profits from cheap labor, they started moving companies abroad to other countries and it continues today. Unions lost bargaining power, because companies could just close plants and move to another country or outsource some of their jobs.

"My fellow Americans," stop crying about your candidate, because it was not your fault that your party chose the most liberal and the most far to the left candidate that they could find.

Intelligent Americans could see through the BS, and could see that Kerry was lieing, deceiving, and manipulating just to get elected at any cost. His comments and actions were just for show. Such as his "recreational hunt in Ohio," and his comment of having only one position on Iraq when there were many. Nobody with any brains was buying the constant BS.

Todays Star Tribune reported that the Democrats increased their House member numbers, and should now be able to get fuel taxes raised. This is exactly why we do not want democrats voted into positions where they love to tax and spend and expand government.

God Bless America and God Bless George W. Bush.

Paul Harvey, alas "I am too embarrassed to use my real name because I am a democrat," the following should answer your question, and hopefully you will just move out of this country if you do not understand!

After hearing that the state of Florida changed its opinion and let a Muslim woman have her picture on her driver's license with her face covered this is an editorial written by an American citizen, published in a Tampa newspaper.

IMMIGRANTS, NOT AMERICANS, MUST ADAPT. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Americans. However, the dust from the attacks had barely settled when the "politically correct" crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others.

I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to America. Our population is almost entirely made up of descendants of immigrants. However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand. This idea of America being a multi cultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Americans, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom.

We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language!

"In God We Trust" is our national motto. This is not some Christian, right wing, political slogan. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.

If Stars and Stripes offend you, or you don't like Uncle Sam, then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet. We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don't care how you did things where you came from. This is OUR COUNTRY, our land, and our lifestyle. Our First Amendment gives every! citizen the right to express his opinion and we will allow you every opportunity to do so. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about our flag, our pledge, our national motto, or our way of life, I highly encourage you take
advantage of one other great American freedom, THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.

AMEN!

The only problem wuth what you say Cwolf is that Bush is not your ordinary conservative.

Conservatives have always been about lower, taxes, less government, and balanced budgets.

Bush has not vetoed one spending bill in 4 years.

I like lower taxes as much as anyone.

But we cant cut taxes, fight two wars, increase government spending, and get to a balanced budget.

I dont believe everyone that is so in love with Bush right now will feel the same way in 4 or 5 years when the bill for his poor management comes due.

What the hell was this?
Joink blathers this: (see pg. 2)
Quote
White males are soon to be the minority.  Go figure after they have produced the vast majority of income for this country.  Toby Keith included.
Why you male chauvinist, racist pig.  Who the hell do you think set up the system so that white males were the only ones able to "benefit" from the income for this country.  It was arrogant chauvinistic racist white men like you.  Keeping non-whites and women from having any rights for hundreds of years you narrow-minded redneck slimeball.  White men "will" be the minority if there is any justice because pigs like you will eventually kill each other off over greed!! I'll bet you probably beat your wife too!

Posted by Joink on Nov. 06 2004,11:36 am
Because I state a fact you now attack me for it.  You are a closed minded idiot who can't see the end of her nose.  Laws continue to be passed that discriminate against white males.  But your hillbilly mind says two wrongs make a right.  I don't beat my wife but I bet a dollar you have been beaten several times because your brain damage shows.

Here's some dialog about Toby Keith I started on another forum...

I'd like to put a boot in HIS ass!

"I agree, I don't like anyone who has a first name for a last name.

That and he's a fat sack of $hit and he ruined the NFL Opening Day halftime show"

"Isn't this the retarded $hitbag on the Ford commercials, or is that some other Southern bigoted moron?

"Oh come on he's not that bad is he. Anyone who writes a song about smoking weed with Willie Nelson can't be all bad. I'd love to burn a fattie with Willie."

"what's the name of the song. i need to hear this because while i really like Willie, i think Toby Keith is a wanker...a screwing certifiably inbred Southern cracker."

LOL
