Let's see...her 15 year old dies from alcohol poisoning and she's giving out "facts" on drugs....hrmmm.

Then we have parents bragging up that their child went through DARE in ...1st grade! Why not just hang glass pipes in the crib?  ???

When will people realize that about 75% is on one drug or another at any given time....legal or illegal. Drugs are drugs..chemicals are just that. Life is chemistry.

One day the "drug war" will peter out just like the war on Iraq. Just wait and see...

Didn't one parent (maybe it was her, can't remember) say something like they didn't know too much alcohol could kill you?

Yes, the speaker never knew that guzzling Jack Daniels like beer could be fatal because she didn't equate Alcohol with drugs.

Yes...in many ways it IS societies fault to some degree,  because we say stupid things like "alcohol and drugs"...."cigarettes and drugs".... it's ALL drugs.

We must learn how to live with drugs. How to make them work for us and not against us. Drugs in and of themselves are neither good, nor bad....it's our misconceptions about them that are truly dangerous.

You're right, drugs are not good or bad, it is how people use them that makes them be conceived as good or bad.
Take Robotusin (sp?), I heard that kids are guzzling down bottles of it to get a buzz because it is easy to get. The cough syrup itself is not bad, but when it gets used like that it is conceived as bad. Same with sinus and cold tablet that contain ephedrine, those are not 'bad' drugs; they are only conceived as bad when people use them to make meth.
Just goes to show you that anything can be 'bad' if not used properly.
