^^How much rare earth, nickel, copper etc needs to be mined to see this pipe dream to fruition?How much oil and natural gas need to be extracted to power an aging grid to charge batteries that only have a life span of 3-5 years?
How much tax money will be wasted on this boondoggle?

^^Fords making a move to iron phosphate cell batteries...As for your concern on the Grid, the Electrical load falls at night to point power plants have to back down the wind picks up in the evening there's a large excess of power overnight..
I'm guessing the majority of the EV batteries will charge overnight...
