little warm out there. . . seems like things are wanting to be ahead of last year QUOTE Across the U.S., the summer of 2021 has been marked by record-setting heat. June was the hottest month on record in the continental U.S., and July was the hottest month on Earth since record-keeping began 141 years ago, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. but you know it's not the heat so much. . . it's the humidity that really gets to a guy Posted by Self-Banished on May 11 2022,8:34 pm
Better tend to your livestock 😁

Birds are falling from the sky in western India due to exhaustion and dehydration as the scorching heatwave continues for the third month with the mercury set to increase further this week.

I'm actually making spaghetti sauce on the grill burner because I refuse to turn the AC on in May and simmering sauce for a couple hours would have made it unbearable in the house. It's only May 12th, I don't think I'll make it without air until June

^^ kinda sucks, I look forward to the months of April and May, usually no heating bill (or very little) and no big electric bill.Doesn’t look like that’s going to happen this year. I guess there’s always October and November Posted by Liberal on May 12 2022,5:12 pm

I don't know if I've ever been anywhere that hot Posted by Self-Banished on May 12 2022,5:14 pm

was reading something a few years back. that was saying that all these large corporations were brainstorming to come up with ideas on how to make money in a post climate change world you being in the almost center of NORTH AMERICA might not have to worry about rising sea levels but then again maybe the HUDSON BAY and THE GREAT LAKES might get you they had a list of things that could be potential items that they could sell and make a profit on they were all pretty grim Posted by was1 on May 13 2022,6:54 am
I’m just amazed how over the last handful or so of years how many people have decided to not believe science. Most people understand that our (humanities) understanding of things change as we (again all of humanity) learn more and our scientists further research and test things. However in the last 5-10 years or even a little more it’s become almost commonplace for people with no science background to outright deny science if it is something that they don’t “feel” is right. When we have an overwhelming number in the science community agree on something it should be believed by people. But yet many things no longer are. What was the trigger event that has caused this? For a number of the people it seems they have reverted to religion over science. Is that the many culprit in the science deniers? I even have a relative on my wife’s side that has become a flat earther, due to what a gaming buddy of his had been telling him. Oh and the hammer buddy is also a minister Posted by Self-Banished on May 13 2022,6:54 am
