Of course we do, but we also share hulu accounts, and their value isn't dropping 20% in one day. I think netflix is going to hurt themselves more than help with this.

saw something about that a while back. . .

thought they were already doing that. . .

one reason their subs might go down is more competition now

all the networks seemed to have adopted the streaming platform. . and you have things like Paramount plus. . .

and all sorts of free bits.

some of which have actually figured out how to provide the product and make it viably watchable

others. . . not so much

more like watching a continuous nonstop stream of commercials

All anyone really needs is an android box, or a Firestick, a VPN account, a debrid account, and a good IPTV provider. If you shop around you can get all 3 for about $15 a month total.

kind of reminds me of Yahoo or Blockbuster Video or something.

fast evolving ever-changing portals . . .

who knows where it'll all be even in a few years

looks like Mystery Science Theater 3000 kind of came up with their own thing -

Ads will be the end of netflix for me.  It's probably a good time to short NFLX.

Dumped Netflix when they hired Buster and the ape.

will say that ROKU. .  at least on some of the bits watched on there. .  have put their ads in such a way that you can actually watch something.

they put up a little 2 minute timer think it was. so you can ignore the ads better. hah it didn't seem too bad. very limited sampling there though. of TV shows

remember watching CRACKLE a long time ago and the ads there would just pop-up anywhere. and the way it extends the time it takes to watch something. .

think YOU CHUBE might do their ads that way. willy-nilly everywhere

that Albert Lea Tribune site is like revisiting the internet Circa 1995 or something. things popping up. . . clutter.  .  totally distracting you from any actual content. noticed that on the phone too.

and lastly -

has anybody ever saved money with GEICO?

I've heard that real-debrid, Lemo TV, HD Cinema, and PIA VPN is all you really need to watch anything you want.

You need an add-on app, Ghostery or Ublock will do the job...

You young bucks are far more adapt to the cyber world. I'm just and old armachair...

I run a VPN, mostly for the Internet Protocol Address and to keep my ISP from logging my every move, the encryption too..

I have a fire stick but never tried to jailbreak it..has plenty of content the way it is...

Smart TV with more free apps than I know what to do with..

NETFLIX will follow Hulu's model a lower priced subscription with commercials while still having a premium account subscription without comericals.

Have had Netflix, and Prime for years, was given a HULU subscription as a gift, kept it for a couple of years but their content didn't jive with my taste..

Hulu's signal seemed to be finicky, thought it was my router went out and bought a new one as well as a wifi range extender.
Nothing worse than to be really getting into a movie and have it kick out and you have to mickey mouse with the remote and start over...

^^can get Mankato but HD antennas are kind of directional, it requires rotating the antenna in a north west position..

that was a few years ago, rotated back east slightly south many more channels in that direction..
