First it was rumors about her husband and that she fainted a few years ago, now you're bringing up her weight and more urban legends you found.  Cause, you know, if it's online it must be true.   :p

As far as your questions about accomplishments, if she was a Republican you wouldn't care, but if it is a real question, Google her bio.  Even the quick read is as good as any of the other candidates for this or other elections.  Yale law school, faculty of University of Arkansas, law partner, Senator, and member of the Cabinet.  I'm hoping the Democrats have a better nominee than Clinton, but the attacks from the right are baseless and keep proving to be so.  It'd be great if we got back to the real issues and the candidates platform.

Sanders is more what you see is what you get, he’s truthful, something that’s refreshing in politics, As for Republican’s who’s your pick of the week, there’s so many I don’t know how you keep track.
I’m a little concerned with Sanders, he hasn’t distanced himself from our government’s unconditional support of Israeli acts of genocide and ethnic cleansing against the Palestinians, or the nasty little wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Pakistan, Somalia, and Yemen.

Should Sanders be defeated by Clinton, I could turn to Jill Stein, but that would be a protest vote, no you’re probably right Clinton would be by far the lesser of two evils.

Bernie’s not out of the running just yet.

Sanders is only 8 points behind Clinton in New Hampshire, he’s gaining Nationally, he’s drawing bigger crowds
the Republicans haven’t even started to Benghazi Clinton.

Six weeks after setting her candidacy into high gear, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s poll numbers are continuing to fall, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll released Thursday.

Across nearly every key metric, from trustworthiness to caring about voters to leadership, Clinton has seen an erosion in public approval, as likely Republican rivals have erased her leads in the poll. Clinton has a net -11 favorability rating in the poll, with 40% of the American public viewing her positively and 51% negatively, with more than 50% of independents on the negative side.

The poll, which was conducted amid new reporting on the existence of classified information on Clinton’s private email server, found further declines in Clinton’s perceived trustworthiness, with 57% of Americans now viewing her as neither honest nor trustworthy.

From that point on, UBS’s engagement with the Clinton family’s charitable organization increased. Total donations by UBS to the Clinton Foundation grew from less than $60,000 through 2008 to a cumulative total of about $600,000 by the end of 2014, according the foundation and the bank.

There is no evidence of any link between Mrs. Clinton’s involvement in the case and the bank’s donations to the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation, or its hiring of Mr. Clinton. But her involvement with UBS is a prime example of how the Clintons’ private and political activities overlap.

The bad news for Hillary Clinton in the new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll: More Americans view her unfavorably than they did a month ago, revealing potential vulnerabilities for a general-election presidential contest more than a year away.

The good news for her in the poll: Clinton continues to lead the Democratic field by more than 30 points, and the favorability numbers for two of the top Republicans are even worse than hers.

Just 37% of all Americans have a positive view of Clinton, versus 48% who have a negative view (-11).

That’s a sharp drop since June, when the NBC/WSJ poll showed her with a 44% positive, 40 negative rating (+4) – so an overall 15-point swing.
As more and more are revealed, she will continue to fall.

Hillary < Clinton has agreed to turn over her email server > used during her tenure as secretary of State to the Justice Department, after months of demands from Republicans that she surrender the device.

The decision comes as the FBI conducts an investigation into the security of classified materials sent via her private email account.

Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill told CNN Tuesday that the Democratic presidential favorite has, "directed her team to give her email server that she used during her tenure as secretary to the Department of Justice, as well as a thumb drive containing copies of her emails already provided to the State Department."

As the < article > explains:

QUOTE
Most Americans have forgotten, but in the 1990s, Hillary Clinton gained notoriety by being the first First Lady in American history to be called to testify in front of a grand jury. Not only was Hillary called to testify, but as part of the grand jury investigation, she became the subject of accusations of suspicious activity concerning missing subpoenaed records from the Rose Law Firm where she had worked in the mid-1980s.

And then there was Vince Foster's untimely (questionable) death.

QUOTE
With no explanation provided by Hillary regarding the subpoenaed documents, which turned out to have been in her custody the entire time, investigators called in the Federal Bureau of Investigation to “ascertain [Hillary’s] role in their mysterious disappearance.” An FBI fingerprint analysis of the Rose Law Firm billing records revealed there were two significant sets of fingerprints on the missing subpoenaed documents—those of White House Deputy Legal Counsel Vince Foster and Hillary Clinton.

The Senate Whitewater Committee, which at the time also was investigating the matter, ultimately concluded the documents indeed had been placed into the book room by Hillary Clinton herself. Hillary of course stated she had “no idea” how the documents had ended up there.

In the midst of the investigation, Foster died in what was ruled a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and more chicanery surfaced—a hard drive from Foster’s White House computer went missing. It eventually turned up in the Old Executive Office Building across the street from the White House, but investigators ultimately were unable to recover documents from the hard drive because it had been significantly damaged.
Some say Foster knew too much for his own good.

(CNN)—A former State Department employee who worked on Hillary Clinton's private email server has informed Congress that he will invoke the Fifth Amendment to avoid testifying before the House Select Committee on Benghazi and in response to other Congressional inquiries related to the server.

On Monday, Mark MacDougall, the attorney for former State Department employee Bryan Pagliano, sent a letter to House Select Committee on Benghazi Chairman Trey Gowdy indicating that Pagliano would assert his Fifth Amendment right not to appear before the Select Committee for a deposition on September 10, 2015. A copy of the letter was obtained by CNN.

MacDougall also says that Pagliano would likewise "decline to produce documents that may be responsive to the subpoena." In the letter, MacDougall defends the decision to invoke the Fifth Amendment by expressing concern about "the current political environment" surrounding Clinton's email use.

Pagliano is a former IT staffer who worked for Clinton and assisted with her email and server. On August 11, Gowdy issued a subpoena for his deposition. A Democratic committee source says there was "no debate or vote by the select committee" about the decision to issue Pagliano subpoena.

Responding to additional requests regarding Clinton's private server from Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley's staff, Pagliano's legal counsel also said yesterday that "he would plead the 5th to any and all questions if he were compelled to testify" before the Judiciary Committee, according to a spokesman for the senator.   < more >

Clinton's sub-40% favorable ratings in 1992 were mostly a product of the public's lack of familiarity with her, rather than any kind of broad unpopularity. By contrast, her current 41% favorable rating is arguably her worst, given her nearly universal name recognition. Her present rating is about as low as it was in March 2001, during her first few months in office as a U.S. senator from New York. Perhaps more importantly, it was also after controversial pardons that her husband, President Bill Clinton, granted at the end of his presidency, and after the Clintons took furnishings and other gifts that were White House property when they left.

Try boiling it down to some more precise truth.

QUOTE
< The Truth >:

It’s true that Hillary Clinton’s ex-boss has accused her of being a “liar” and “unethical” during the House Judiciary Committee’s impeachment inquiry into Watergate, but claims that she was fired for those reasons are false.

Claims that Hillary Clinton had been fired from the impeachment inquiry first went viral during her 2008 presidential bid. A column written by Dan Calabrese, the founder of Northstar Writers Group, appeared in countless forwarded emails, and the eRumor was born.

The column was inspired by statements made by Jerry Zeifman, a Democrat who served as counsel and chief of staff for the House Judiciary Committee during the Watergate investigation. Zeifman’s book, “Hillary’s Pursuit of Power,” and comments that he made on his website, which is no longer active, have been critical of Hillary Rodham Clinton’s actions during the Watergate investigation, and in the years that followed.

Jerry Zeifman said he supervised Hillary Rodham Clinton as she worked on the team that worked on the Watergate impeachment inquiry, and that during the investigation Hillary Clinton had “…engaged in a variety of self-serving, unethical practices in violation of House rules.”

Specifically, Jerry Zeifman said Hillary Rodham Clinton and others wanted Richard Nixon to remain in office so Democratic Senator Ted Kennedy would have a better chance of being elected president. Zeifman said a young lawyer who shared an office with Clinton came to him in August of 1974 to apologize that he and Clinton had lied to him. The lawyer, John Labovitz, is quoted as saying that he was dismayed with “…her erroneous legal opinions and efforts to deny Nixon representation by counsel — as well as an unwillingness to investigate Nixon.”

Jerry Zeifman also said that Hillary Rodham Clinton regularly consulted with Ted Kennedy’s chief political strategist, which was a violation of House rules. Zeifman said in addition to helping Ted Kennedy win the presidency, Democrats also didn’t want Nixon to face an impeachment trial because they feared he might bring up abuses of office by President John Kennedy as part of his defense.

But while Jerry Zeifman has been consistent in his criticism of Hillary Rodham Clinton’s work on the Watergate investigation, circumstances surrounding her termination are less clear. In a 1999 interview with the Scripps Howard News Service, Zeifman said he didn’t have the power to fire Clinton, or else he would have:

“Zeifman does not have flattering memories of Rodham’s work on the committee. ‘If I had the power to fire her, I would have fired her,’ he said.

Zeifman said Rodham sparked a bitter battle among Democrats by recommending the Judiciary Committee deny Nixon’s lawyers the right to attend the closed-door meetings.

‘Can you imagine that? This was a committee of lawyers and members of the bar, and she was saying the committee should deny the president representation,’ he said.

After a lengthy behind-the-scenes debate, Zeifman said the committee decided Nixon’s lawyers could attend.”

In an interview on the Neal Boortz Show in 2008, Jerry Zeifman altered his claim about Hillary’s termination from the Watergate investigation:

“Well, let me put it this way: I terminated her, along with some other staff members who were — were no longer needed, and advised her that I would not — could not — recommend her for any further positions.”

Somewhere in Hell, Benjamin Harrison, Warren G. Harding, James Buchanan, and Richard Nixon are smiling at the prospect that a bunch of misguided Americans are going to elect one of the most corrupt canidates to run for the office of President, Hilary Clinton.  If she was running as a Republican with all this political baggage people would be demanding she drop out.  (By the way why is Chris Christie still running?)  But for some unknown reason since she is running as a Democrat no one seems to care about all her political baggage?  Do they just not care?  Are they wearing rose colored glasses and can't see it? It's a mystery to me.

Note: I could have included Grant to the list, but I don't believe he was corrupt personally, just politically naive and saddle with a mostly corrupt cabinet by a thoroughly corrupt political machine.

Using a personal web server isn't corrupt, in fact, it wasn't even against state department rules.

If the political strategists thought O'Malley or Chafee were going to be the Democratic front-runner, the news ticker would be going from one scandal to another about whether they use a teleprompter, have a birth certificate or certificate of live birth, or have fired any travel office employees without cause.  Voila, they can create baggage out of anything.  Repeat the same thing enough, the public will believe it.

Speaking of which, have the Republicans had Sheriff Joe verify their birth certificates yet?   :sarcasm:

Hillary Clinton goes Bush League

Just a shade over 24 hours after 129 people were slaughtered in Paris by terrorists, presidential candidate Hillary Clinton took the debate stage in Iowa and utterly disgraced herself in a way that would have been shocking were it not so utterly mundane a phenomenon in modern US politics. One of her opponents, Bernie Sanders, tagged her with the millions of dollars in campaign contributions she has received from the very Wall Street financial firms that burned down the US economy some years ago. Sanders essentially said those firms expect a return on their investment, and he was exactly right.

Secretary Clinton bristled. "Wait a minute," she replied, "he has basically used his answer to impugn my integrity. Let's be frank here." Rather than be frank, however, Clinton went completely sideways and claimed that she takes barrels of corrupt Wall Street cash because 9/11 happened, or something. I've been watching political debates of all kinds since God wore short pants, and this ranked right up there with the most vile, disingenuous, sneaky, low-road slippery debate statements I have ever heard. Clinton states:

"You know, not only do I have hundreds of thousands of donors, most of them small, I am very proud that for the first time a majority of my donors are women, 60 percent. So I - I represented New York. And I represented New York on 9/11 when we were attacked. Where were we attacked? We were attacked in downtown Manhattan where Wall Street is. I did spend a whole lot of time and effort helping them rebuild. That was good for New York. It was good for the economy. And it was a way to rebuke the terrorists who had attacked our country."

So, let me get this straight. Because Clinton has a lot of women who donate to her campaign, and because two airliners obliterated the World Trade Center in an attack that had people jumping to their deaths out of 100-story windows on live television, her acceptance of millions in dirty money has something to do with being good for the economy, and because it is a "rebuke" to the terrorists.

Gotcha.

So what can be expected with a Clinton presidency?

Obama hired Wallstreet crooks into his administration to deal with the recession they helped create. Some token fines imposed. Very little crimminal prosecution. Hillary has another plan. As presient she would likely hire friends in low places (Wallstreet crooks) to maintain the status quo among elite groups, with the help of fellow money puppets like Rep. Schumer and a few political enemies among the GOP. A bizarre alliance indeed but when great sums of cash are at stake...what the heck. Always room for "compromise" among political foes when corruption is common ground.

take a number and die!

And call Imigration too. :D

Make it so people can't purchase Cheetos and Mountain Dew with their EBT cards. That would be a start.

Return to an era of smaller hospitals and private-practice doctors.

Or build more emergency rooms. It's not like Mayo is hurting for cash.

Whatever the solution, Hillary won't be part of it. I love how people complain about the state of healthcare, then vote for someone who will almost certainly do nothing to change the status quo.

I think it has been shown quite clearly that our govt cannot provide the infrastructure and safety that is supposed to be done with our tax dollars. Now to try and slow things down, the thing that comes to mind is stop bringing more into the country. If they know we have 11 million illegal people living here, why not show them the door. People bitch about the water in Michigan. Guess what, it is getting like that in all parts of this country. You can sweep it under the carpet for just so long. Eventually one needs to realize the answer is not going to look very pretty. Stop sticking your finger in the light socket, it hurts. See if you can go to some other country and just get free stuff for showing up. You can't. Germany now is starting to see the results of immigration. What are they doing? Shutting the door and getting rid of the ones that don't fit. Another thing, how many illegals do we have incarcerated. From what I see on some shows on TV, there is a lot of them. Why are they still here when all they do is join gangs and victimize the public.

I'm not a Republican, many years ago yes but what the party has evolved into is nothing more than dem-lite. They capitulate, they have no spine, they lie, almost as badly as the Dems. What I'm hoping for this year is someone with a spine (and no, it surely isn't Batsh!t) is it Trump? Maybe, he seems to have some fire in his belly, not very refined though.

I find it hilarious the protesters at his rallies, the more they piss and moan the more press he gets ( maybe they work for him)

Trump maybe exactly what this county needs, on the other hand he might be the one that kills it.

I think we're going to find out.

Trump can't win against Hillary or Bernie in national polls...
He's flip flopped on issues from one speech to the next. He doesn't put much in black and white on his webpage.

You do realize he proposed a 35% tariff on imports from China. Not that I don't think we shouldn't be manufacturing American goods in America..
I see a 35% tariff as a Tax on the poor, at the same time Trump has proposed tax cuts for the 1%ers and Corporations.

On the illegals, they don't qualify for ANY Government safety net programs. They wouldn't even be here if American Businesses weren't hiring them. Prosecute the Corporations breaking the law and illegal immigration will end.

I think this article would fit right about here....

The Real Reason for Trump’s Rise

The best explanation I’ve heard for a Trump vote was from a lifelong Republican in rural Mississippi. He called voting for Trump “the middle finger vote” to “a good ole boy system” that lines the pockets of elites in Washington while neglecting working men and women.

Anti-Trump Republicans are learning all the wrong lessons by focusing on the inflammatory showman instead of the failings of our platform and our party. To dismiss Trump’s ascendency by caricaturing him and his followers as racist simpletons ignores the real lesson of 2016—that grassroots voters have lost faith in elected officials and a government that isn’t living up to the promise of “by the people.”

Trump is the culmination of a massive, systemic problem of a party that asked what donors wanted, not its voters—a party that excelled in recent years at demonizing the opposition, while lacking the backbone to stop out of control spending.

All year, I’ve never heard Trump’s name in the same breath as words like individual freedom and liberty. I also never hear the same thing about what the Republican Party stands for. There’s widespread confusion on the fundamentals, and it’s infected the way Republicans govern: After promising to wrest power from President Barack Obama, Republicans elected in 2012 governed as liberals when they voted to add Obama’s $1.8 trillion omnibus spending bill to our already $19 trillion debt. Trump voters are asking, rightfully, tough questions that challenge the party’s neoconservatism orthodoxy: Why we are borrowing money to give it away overseas? Why are we arming so-called allies with weapons that end up in the hands of ISIS? If we spent half of all discretionary spending last year on defense—to the sum of almost $600 billion—why does ISIS seem stronger than ever?

What does the Republican party stand for, positively? Voters can’t tell you, and they turned to the best demonizer on reality television—Trump—to fight the establishment, not embrace it.

This driving factor is why the “Never Trump” movement is doomed. Even over the weekend, there was yet another Republican insider “roadmap” on how to beat Trump, instead of facing the hard reality that targeting him just isn’t working. Sanctimonious preaching by elite-funded super-PACs to subvert the voters as well as the man only supercharges enthusiasm for him and is going as well as Jeb Bush’s early anointment by the donor class. Just last week, former House Speaker John Boehner proved himself still equally tone deaf by taunting Trump supporters with his successor Paul Ryan as convention white knight.

This misses the point—the reason for supporting Trump is that he’s the one who will supposedly wrest the system from the contemptuous Washington professional class that’s enabled Obama. For rank-and-file Republican voters, Obama’s been a two-term Jimmy Carter, a president who won’t stand up to aggressors, and a failed negotiator (especially with Iran) who never tells you how good things will be, just how bad they can get.

The current Republican message clearly doesn’t fit the times. Tax cuts for wealthy "job creators" isn’t a selling point when the workforce participation rate is sitting at a 40-year low. People just aren’t getting ahead as they have in past decades, and the frustration is so great that voters want to go rogue, no matter the unknowns of a Trump presidency. These unknowns are petrifying, given Trump’s open authoritarianism in how he deals with dissent. His rallies are increasingly savage: Even his campaign manager is accused, and is shown on video grabbing a reporter and a protestor. This weekend in Tucson a supporter assaulted a protester, yet Arizona Trump endorser Sheriff Joe Arpaio dismissed claims Trump incited violence against protestors, telling MSNBC’s Alex Witt that criticism was “ridiculous and nitpicky.”

Trump will ultimately be the nominee if the best alternative to him is Ted Cruz, an obstructionist most often associated with shutting down the government. Cruz’s worldview is gloomy and dark, the embodiment of two decades of negativity that created the opening for Trump, while Cruz’s message is that he’s demonizer in chief. Trump’s central message is that he can work with people to cut deals—unlike the rest of Washington who are making bad deals that make our lives worse.

It’s pretty easy to say what Trump stands for: building a wall—a great one. Stopping free trade agreements that are harming American workers. Taking on special interests by not relying on super-PACs and other repositories of donor wealth. Even when I strongly disagree with him, as I do on Trump’s offensive rhetoric on Muslim refugees, he is right on one important point: Why let in refugees through a process that fails to screen security threats with any precision? Why does our government persist in relying on a broken system, and why do we not fix it?

And that’s perhaps Trump’s big-picture selling point: For far too long, we’ve accepted the failings of government without even trying to change it. We are told by politicians to ignore our common sense and listen to them because they know better. We are told to trust our government, without having a reason to trust in it. And now that voters are turning the tables and taking a stand with their vote for Trump, maybe Republican officeholders and seekers will stop telling and start listening.

I think the rise of Trump is a good indication how many stupid Americans there are, and that's all it shows. Real republicans think he's a clown, but the stupid ones, and stupid democrats are his voting base.

I watched one minute, by that time I had already seen a youtuber tell me that according to Dick Morris (a Repub strategist) Hillary is a Sociopath, in addition to her being a a liar because... Oh, the NY Post (Rupert Murdoch's tabloid) says so.  Well, that's one minute of my life I wish I could get back.   :p

You ask for defenses of Hillary?  Okay, there's a correlation of Democrat President's being better with the budget, the economy, and the past four decades far fewer Americans die when a Dem is commander in chief.  I realize Dems need to do better, but I'll take a recovery over a recession, paybacks versus bailouts, lower unemployment rates over higher, and unfortunate attacks where a few are sadly lost (Benghazi) versus a few THOUSAND sadly lost (World Trade Center 1 & 2, Pentagon, flight 93).

The CBO numbers and labor statistics don't lie, and neither does the number of gravestones.  Nothing Roger Stone or Dick Morris says will change that, only try to divert your attention elsewhere.

P.S.  Oh, I know some are going to flame me for being too consistent in supporting Dems in the above.  But like everyone on here I care about how the future turns out, I'm not going cry and tell you I'm a patriot or dress up like Thomas Paine, I'm just some dude who's voted Republican too many times and seen the outcome, and it's never as good as the rhetoric.

P.P.S.  Now, cue SB for another website that says Hillary killed Vince Foster, has not provided crucial MRI scans (only her medical and tax records), and another BOMBSHELL is that according to some reports it's possible she was not cordial with a Secret Service Agent twenty years ago.   :sarcasm:  :D

Expat's right.  The only consistancy in your posts is the Republican part.  Examples are endless:

Before rape was a big factor,  you accused Bill Clinton of rape several times on here due to tabloid stories.  Well, guess who's accused of rape by not only tabloid stores, court cases, but his own wife...  The Republican you currently support.

You'd attack Hillary and Sanders for their age and health, when I point out that Reagan was old, and so is Trump, you flip-flop and support the Republican.

Terrorism?  Despite all the Benghazi memes you post, it's been proven far more Americans die from terror attacks when a Repub is in charge, in fact, it's more like 100 or 1000 times more die while a Republican reads a children's book in Florida.  Again, you'd still support the Republican in this instance.

The only consistent stand you've taken is being a Republican.

Now that the air is cleared the only reason you think I'm a republican is because I don't agree with pretty much anything the dems have to say.

Nah, plenty of forum posters disagree with Dems all the time.  :D
The difference is you'll back who the RNC nominates no-matter-what, also while they're POTUS, and even years after they're out of office you'll stand behind them saying things like "well, I made money" regardless of how much they put the country into debt, how bad the economy was, or many Americans die durring Republican Administrations.

Case in point, you've posted lots of Benghazi memes linking Hillary and Obama to bloodshed.  How many memes linking Bush, Powell, or Condi Rice to the deaths at the WTC or Pentagon?
Answer:  You're a Republican, you would never link them to that.

QUOTE
Trump a rapist? Sounds like a witch hunt of convenience. 22 years ago? Laughable.

Again, if a Democrat was accused of rape you'd believe it, and post it as fact.  When it's a Republican you won't, even if his own wife was one of the accusers.

In another thread you just implied that Hillary is responsible for a murder of a man on the streets of Washington, D.C.  So, you think Trump couldn't be a rapist, but you think Hillary killed a staffer on the streets of Washington, D.C.

Name one single scandal about Bill, Hillary, or Obama that you haven't automatically believed was true.   :dunno:

It's 2016, it's completely okay to the come out of the closet and admit that you're a Republican.

The thing that amazes me, is that the Donald is the farthest thing from Presidential. Nothing about him exudes that he is presidential material. Never in my lifetime has a person with this lack of being Presidential ever been this close to being elected.  Even W. for all his trouble with speaking could exude presidential qualities.
Hillary, by far and away is much better at being presidential.  Yet she can put this clown away in the polls and is struggling to get more than 5pts ahead in most of the major polls I've looked at recently. That should tell you how comfortable the undecided people (like me) feel about her.
If ever there was a perfect time for a 3rd party to have a shot it is 2016.  ANd what do we get? Gary Johnson who keeps having multiple Aleppo moments.
I seriously want to move a remote island somewhere until whomever wins this election is done being president.

Safe as in the fox guarding the henhouse?

Clinton Foundation to be shut down. "The Clintons have spent decades as insiders lining their own pockets and taking care of donors instead of the American people. It is now clear that the Clinton Foundation is the most corrupt enterprise in political history," said Trump in a statement. "What they were doing during Crooked Hillary’s time as Secretary of State was wrong then, and it is wrong now. It must be shut down immediately."

Here are seven things you need to know about the scandal-plagued foundation.

1. The Clinton Foundation was established in 2001.  Former President Bill Clinton said that the foundation aimed "to alleviate poverty, improve global health, strengthen economies, and protect the environment." In reality, it became a way for the Clintons and their cronies to enrich themselves.

2. For an organization that is supposedly a charity, the Clinton Foundation spent very little money on "direct aid." IRS documents showed that the Foundation raised over $500 million from 2009-2012, and yet the Clinton Foundation only spent $75 million on "programmatic grants."

"The other $425 million was allocated as follows: more than $25 million went for travel expenses; almost $110 million for employee salaries and benefits; and $290 million for 'other expenses,'" reports Discover The Networks.

These numbers were similar in the foundation's 2013 tax returns, which revealed that the Clinton Foundation raised over $140 million but only used $9 million in direct aid, according to the New York Post:

On its 2013 tax forms, the most recent available, the foundation claimed it spent $30 million on payroll and employee benefits; $8.7 million in rent and office expenses; $9.2 million on “conferences, conventions and meetings”; $8 million on fundraising; and nearly $8.5 million on travel. None of the Clintons is on the payroll, but they do enjoy first-class flights paid for by the foundation.

In all, the group reported $84.6 million in “functional expenses” on its 2013 tax return and had more than $64 million left over — money the organization has said represents pledges rather than actual cash on hand.

Indeed, Form 990 shows that the Clintons used the money raised by the foundation to pay for their travel expenses, which included "travel by charter or in first class."

"The Clintons get nothing from the foundation except free travel on chartered jets and first-class airline seats and hotel stays and, oh yes, control over a giant operating budget to steer to the charities and good causes that they prefer," writes National Review's Jim Geraghty. "Practically nothing!"

3. The Clintons have listed their foundation as a charity for tax write-off purposes. Bill and Hillary Clinton claimed $10.2 million in charitable tax breaks from 2001-2008 due to the Clinton Foundation. In 2015, $1 million out of Bill and Hillary's $1,042,000 in charitable deductions was due to the Clinton Family Foundation, which is separate from the Clinton Foundation but still run by the sleazy political power couple.

Even "nonprofit experts" are skeptical about the Clinton Foundation's status as a charity, via the New York Post:

Charity Navigator, which rates nonprofits, recently refused to rate the Clinton Foundation because its “atypical business model . . . doesn’t meet our criteria.”

Charity Navigator put the foundation on its “watch list,” which warns potential donors about investing in problematic charities. The 23 charities on the list include the Rev. Al Sharpton’s troubled National Action Network, which is cited for failing to pay payroll taxes for several years.

Other nonprofit experts are asking hard questions about the Clinton Foundation’s tax filings in the wake of recent reports that the Clintons traded influence for donations.

“It seems like the Clinton Foundation operates aks a slush fund for the Clintons,” said Bill Allison, a senior fellow at the Sunlight Foundation, a government watchdog group where progressive Democrat and Fordham Law professor Zephyr Teachout was once an organizing director.

4. The Clinton Foundation's donors include countries with awful records on women's rights. Via Geraghty, these countries include:

$1-5 million from Qatar.
$5-10 million from Kuwait.
$10-$25 million from Saudi Arabia.
"These governments are not exactly known for their equitable treatment of women," writes Geraghty. "If they wanted to promote women’s rights, changing their own laws would do far more than their millions in donations ever will."

Saudi Arabia's laws are especially horrendous towards women. The Week lists nine things women can't do in the country, which includes swimming, driving and playing sports.

The Clinton Foundation had started the Full Participation project, which was aimed "to expand women’s access to contraception and education, increase their involvement in the workforce, and fight child marriage," according to Geraghty. And yet the foundation took money from countries that treat women as second-class citizens.

5. The Clinton Foundation was used for the Clintons to provide quid pro quo deals to their donors. Some examples include:

The Clinton Foundation used the Haiti earthquake to provide "aid" to the Haitians that was really nothing more than payoffs to Clinton donors that did very little to help the Haitians, as Dinesh D'Souza explains here.
Clinton Foundation donor Joyce Aboussie asked top Clinton aide Huma Abedin in June 2009 for Peabody Energy, a coal company Aboussie consulted for, to have a meeting with Clinton, and Abedin responded: "I hope we can make something work."
Also in 2009, U2 lead singer Bono, also a donor to the Clinton Foundation, wanted "to do a linkup with the International Space Station on every show during the tour this year," according to newly released emails. Abedin and Clinton Foundation director Doug Band didn't know who to talk to in NASA about it, but as Politico notes, U2's most recent tour did feature "a video from astronauts aboard the International Space Station."
The Clinton Foundation gave $2 million to one of Bill Clinton's special friends, as The Daily Wire reported here.
Hillary Clinton's State Department approved of a deal that gave Russia 20 percent of U.S. uranium reserves because it benefited Clinton Foundation donors.
Clinton's State Department also approved of "$165 billion worth of commercial arms sales to 20 nations whose governments have given money to the Clinton Foundation," including "Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Qatar," according to International Business Times.
The Daily Wire editor-in-chief Ben Shapiro has listed other quid pro quo deals relating to the Clintons and the Clinton Foundation here.

6. Numerous journalists and media organizations donated to the Clinton Foundation. According to Politico, these include ABC anchor George Stephanopoulos, NBC Universal and Time Warner Inc, the parent company of CNN. PBS News anchor Judy Woodruff also donated to the Clinton Foundation's relief fund for Haiti, which, as mentioned earlier, was really a slush fund to benefit Clinton Foundation donors.

7. The Clinton Foundation pledged to clear any foreign donations with the State Department before Clinton became the Secretary of State. And yet they didn't clear a $500,000 donation from the government of Algeria in 2010, which is why their pledge to stop taking foreign and corporate donations if Hillary Clinton if elected president cannot be taken seriously.

Trump lost near a billion dollars in '95 (still to be proven) and if he did would be able to avail himself to tax laws that allow him to push these losses forward. I suppose this looks "yuge" to some people and it is till one looks a the relative scale of numbers he deals with. All in all, it comes down to the fact that it is his money.

During Chairman Cow's tenure as Secretary of State the office "mislayed, couldn't account for" (most likely stole) 6 billion dollars, tax payer dollars. Where did it go? Is it in a winter coat pocket? Perhaps in the cushions of a couch?

The thing that amazes me, is that the Donald is the farthest thing from Presidential. Nothing about him exudes that he is presidential material. Never in my lifetime has a person with this lack of being Presidential ever been this close to being elected.  Even W. for all his trouble with speaking could exude presidential qualities.
Hillary, by far and away is much better at being presidential.  Yet she can put this clown away in the polls and is struggling to get more than 5pts ahead in most of the major polls I've looked at recently. That should tell you how comfortable the undecided people (like me) feel about her.
If ever there was a perfect time for a 3rd party to have a host it is 2016.  ANd what do we get? Gary Johnson who keeps having multiple Aleppo moments.
I seriously want to move a remote island somewhere until whomever wins this election is done being president.

Sounds pretty accurate to me.

NAFTA was negotiated and signed by President George H.W. Bush. (check the video.) more Republicans than Democrats voted for the deal, as the trade pact was vehemently opposed by labor unions.

In the House, NAFTA passed 234-200; 132 Republicans and 102 Democrats voted in favor of it. The Senate approved NAFTA 61-38, with the backing of 34 Republicans and 27 Democrats.

Clinton held ceremonially signing for the impending legislation , But that’s not the same as negotiating and signing the treaty with the leaders of Mexico and Canada, that was George H.W. Bush and his administration...

Well, Trump has had dealings, but we don't know what they are because he's the first person in modern history to get this close to the Presidency without releasing his taxes.

What's equally bothersome is someone getting this close without ANY experience to prepare them for the Presidency.  Not a stint in the legislature, governorship, he hasn't even been on a city council!  We've had generals that won, but Trump dodged the draft so he didn't gain experience there.  At least Reagan and Romney were governor first before they decided to run for President.  Inheriting money isn't a qualification, neither is being a reality TV host, nor is being a frequent guest on Howard Stern a qualification for POTUS.

Seth Meyers was right when he addressed the idea of Trump running at the White House Correspondence Dinner.  "Donald Trump has been saying that he will run for president as a Republican.  Which is surprising, because I just assumed he was running as a joke."  :D

Hillary Clinton goes to a gifted-student primary school in New York to talk about the world. After her talk she offers to answer questions from the kids.
One little boy puts up his hand. Hillary asks him what his name is.
"Kenny," he says.
"And what is your question, Kenny?" she asks.
"I have three questions," he says. "First -- what happened in Benghazi? "Second -- why would you run for president if you are not capable of handling two e-mail accounts? "Third -- what happened to that six billion dollars that went missing while you were Secretary of State?”
Just then the bell rings for recess.
Hillary tells the students that they will continue after recess. When they resume Hillary says,
"Okay, where were we? Oh, that's right, question time. Who has a question?”
A different boy -- little Johnny -- puts his hand up.
Hillary points to him and asks him what his name is.
"Johnny," he says.
"What is your question, Johnny?" she asks.
"I have five questions," he says. "First -- what happened in Benghazi? "Second -- why would you run for president if you are not capable of handling two e-mail accounts? "Third -- whatever happened to that six billion dollars that went missing while you were Secretary of State? "Fourth -- why did the recess bell go off 21 minutes early? "And, fifth -- where's Kenny?”

On this we can agree, talk is talk, but there's only one serious candidate for office that has any experience.  Only Clinton can back up her talk with action.

Republicans have problems with her, she used the wrong email and a foundation that carries her name tries to help with poverty in third world countries, HIV treatments, and disaster relief.  I guess these are bad things.  Apparently after mid-January of '09 using a .com email and not publicly showing your birth certificate became impeachable offenses.

Either way, if you want economic decline and 9-10% unemployment rates, vote Republican up and down the ticket.  If you think the Trump heirs and Warren Buffet needs another tax cut, but his secretary should have her sales and wheelage tax go up (again), feel free to slap on a Trump or Gary Johnson bumper sticker and drive around with pride.

Me, I look at the numbers above, the proof is their, the facts are irrefutable.  I'll take growth over decline, low unemployment over high, and people that can afford to fill their gas tank up and heat the houses that they own versus being foreclosed on, and buying cars that are made in America again.  If you want to continue seeing these things also, vote Democrat.

I have never been a fan of presidential pardons. Personally I feel all pardons should be approved by congress.
I was not a fan of Ford's pardon of Nixon, and I will not be a fan of this pardon if it happens.
First, she hasn't been convicted of anything so there's nothing to pardon. second, issuing a blanket pardon for all discovered wrongdoings that she COULD be charged, is just a bad idea.
Third. Jesse Jackson is a piece of sh!t and how he has any credibility is beyond me.... But then again, Trump got elected so... there's that.

Main truth in that clip is that there are things that they can not answer in a public setting.  Move all of this to closed meetings so they do not have the "out" of not being able to answer due to security reasons.

This has dragged on too long, and in my opinion for 2 reasons: 1) being in public so they are all showboating and people are not answering the questions, 2) they don't want to find out the answers, because they are scared of what they may find or not find, depending on their side of the aisle.

In the summer of 2017, two Republican staffers for the United States House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence traveled to London to investigate the dossier, briefly meeting with Steele.[40]

Steele reportedly revealed the identities of the sources used in the dossier to the FBI.[41] Investigators from Robert Mueller's special council team met with Steele to interview him about the dossier's claims.[42][43]

a number of good things in that article.

Moore needs to drop out.

Donny Jr. communicated with Wikileaks

Hannity, in a nice way, told some of his listeners that they are idiots for smashing their Keurigs

Uranium One will get looked into.  Will be interesting to see if anything comes of this.  Other than some far rights, everything has been pretty tame on this.  But, if there is anything it should be looked into.

Posted by Self-Banished on Nov. 14 2017,11:13 am
^^ so what you're saying about Moore is that if a woman accuses a man she should be believed no matter what , piss on the fact that the guy's been in the public sector all his life, in several elections and these women just come to accuse him now, after some 40 years?
Posted by was1 on Nov. 14 2017,11:26 am
you sir are in the very small minority regarding this guy.  Its starting to look like only you and Hannity are backing this guy.

Will you come out against him and apologize for backing him if/when it is proven?

Posted by Self-Banished on Nov. 14 2017,12:04 pm
Screw minority, if bails from the election then the women in question either confess or are found to be lying would you support another election?

If you are of this thinking then Bill Clinton should be in prison for rape, do you support this?

seems to be history on this bird and it's not just the five or six women who have come forward...

I can see where you'd think that being the number of years..

But there's a lot of disassociated people who know the story on judge Roy...for the most part what he did wasn't illegal but definitely immoral..

Alabama says 16 is the age of consent but this guy did a 14 year old and 16 year old against their will,( allegedly ) doesn't look good for a potential US Senator.

Weinner went to jail for less, not that that weasel isn't were he should be..

Posted by was1 on Nov. 14 2017,1:15 pm
Billy should have been punished for his past actions.

There is nothing I have seen of Moore "did" any of them, but did have inappropriate touching and behavior.

We need to stop electing these immoral people to our government leadership, all it does is reward them for doing wrong and show others that it is okay.

People running their mouths in support of such behavior, constantly placing blame elsewhere and claims of a setup need to look themselves in the mirror and ask themselves if they really feel that way.  and if they say yes, I hope they have a daughter or niece or someone that they can then to say "hey honey, its okay if a man much older than you touches you and makes you do things".  Total losers!

The Republicans party RNC has cut funding to Moore, the leadership of the House and Senate as well as large sector of the Republican Congress have called for Moore to withdraw.
They gone so far to say if elected he'll never be a Senator.

Even your boy Hannity has turned on Moore...

You seem to be one of his last supporters, obviously the mounting evidence against this pedophile doesn't bother you at all...

Is this the Republican Party dirty tricks team at work or is this guy a perv?

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on Tuesday afternoon indicated he will not let Roy Moore serve in the U.S. Senate for long, if at all.

McConnell said that Moore would face an ethics probe quickly if he does win the December election to fill the Senate seat representing Alabama.

Even Hannity has turned on Moore—what's with Republicans and the " I don't remember defense ", it worked for Reagan so it's been the mantra for lying Republicans ever since...

I do have kids.

Yes, sadly those in Alabama are still supporting him, according to the polls.  But, you'll be the first to point out that polls are wrong when it comes to others.

Times have changed.  This type of behavior has to end, not be explained away.  I am all for going after anyone with this type of behavior in their past, including President Clinton.

Not one shred of evidence in the Russia stuff?  Then why is the investigation still going on?  Why have all our intelligence agencies said the Russians were involved?

People really need to end the "party line" on things and realize both sides have scum bags, both sides have liars and cheats.  And both sides need to gets rid of those people.

Oh I agree, both sides do have scumbags, the retards have McConnell, Ryan etc, the Nazis have Schuemer, Pelosi ( that was funny, I typed "Pelosi"and spell check corrected it to "apologize") and Frankin etc.

Now, how many months has the investigation into the alleged Russian bullsh!t been going on? How much evidence have they dug up on our president? Zip, nada.

This is probably just a smoke screen to delay investigations into stroke lady's involvement and felony misappropriations of campaign funds from the Nazi party. Yes, felonies, the kind that could have her eating tuna salad three times a day.

But of course, you and capt dipsh!t will continue on with the story line that the Russians were successful in their hacking attempt. :dunce:

^^ yep, I have to admit, Sessions was pretty damned pathetic yesterday. I would hazard a guess either the Clintons have something over his head or he's concerned about an impending suicide.
Posted by was1 on Nov. 15 2017,11:13 am
why is it always somehow the Clintons are involved?  It could never be that the Trump group did something wrong.

And if Clinton and the D's did misuse funds, etc.   They should be charged.

Watergate took over 2 years to go through that investigation.  we are only what, 7 months into this one.

And there has been plenty of proof that Russia did try to influence the election.  They spread plenty of fake news.  they hacked to get e-mails etc.  Did they directly affect the outcome but hacking voting machines and changing votes?  No.  Did they sway voters with the propaganda they spread.  More than likely.

Posted by Self-Banished on Nov. 15 2017,12:13 pm
^^ and the US is totally innocent of election influence??

I seem to remember Buster trying (and failing) to influence the elections of Israel.

Since I've brought us back to election, a friend of mine pointed something out to me today. As I've stated, these allegations just rose up after it was to late to change the ballot.

We've seen the Nazi party pull off the biggest election fraud of all time by screwing over the appearent winning nominee. This has been further confirmed in the last week or so. Tweedle dumb and tweedle dumber here cannot see that this is a possibility

Posted by was1 on Nov. 15 2017,4:30 pm
countries have tried to influence other counties elections for decades.  Doesn't make it right. The potential issue here is, if the candidate, or any part of his time, worked with the foreign country to do so.

Yes, there definitely was some underhanded things in the D's primary.

I can see that as a possibility, but there also seems to be far too much smoke here to not have anything.  When you have that many in his own party saying the same, seems pretty likely.

It's too bad you can never see anything from the other side.

So what you're saying is that because it might have happened to us it's more egregious that it happened to us, even though it's not nice when we do it to other countries. No body did a damned thing to Buster when he stuck his nose into israel's affairs, I believe our press even followed it daily. No investigation, no special counsel.

Nazis Underhanded? Try felonious

Smoke? Tell a lie long enough, often enough.

Yeah, I agree, too bad you're too jaded to see both sides.

Posted by Expatriate on Nov. 16 2017,7:15 am
You're still having a problem understanding, did Russia attempt to influence our election the answer to that is yes...Do we try to influence elections in other countries the answer would be yes..The difference we're talking collusion here, Trump was in cahoots with Russia or Russian agents to influence the election, a questionable collaboration that calls for investigation.

The real problem starts with the coverup and lies by Trump and his cohorts, the firing of the FBI director admittedly by Trump (Lester Holt interview) because he was investigating this Russian collusion. This in itself is obstruction of justice to let this slide would be the difference of a dictatorship over a democracy..

yes SB - tell a lie long enough and you do believe it.  Look at the garbage from Trump and others (Hannity, etc.) that you now believe as gospel.

And, again, why do you have to resort to name calling and insults?  I'm not seeing anyone else having to stoop to such a level.

Man up, grow up, and contribute nicely and maybe, just maybe, you can change some opinions.

Trump implicated himself for obstruction of justice in the Lester Holt interview when he stated he fired the FBI director for the Russia investigation..

Papadopoulos,  pled guilty to the FBI about his contacts with Russian officials.

Might I suggest you insert the the name Clinton wherever you see Trump's name, I'm positive your position on this investigation would change immediately...

Your link is a bit dated, really doesn't included the developments since the Mueller investigation began.
Whether Trump was under investigation is neither here nor there, the Trump campaign was under investigation which included Trump..

the author of this piece is Andrew McCarthy, he definitely has a bias to the right, He is currently a senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies a neoconservative think tank,  He has defended the practice of waterboarding as not necessarily being torture...don't see this link as relevant...
