Cheney: 'The report's full of crap' By Eric Bradner, CNN
updated 8:08 PM EST, Wed December 10, 2014
Washington (CNN) -- Former Vice President Dick Cheney called a Senate panel's report on U.S. interrogation tactics during George W. Bush's administration is "deeply flawed" and a "terrible piece of work."
"The report's full of crap," he said in an interview with Fox News on Wednesday evening.
Bush's Republican vice president insisted that the Central Intelligence Agency's rough tactics -- which the report said included mock executions, beatings, "rectal rehydration" and feeding, sleep deprivation and more -- helped the United States "catch the bastards who killed 3,000 of us on 9/11."
"It did in fact produce actionable intelligence that was vital in the success of keeping the country safe from further attacks," he said.
Asked specifically about the rectal rehydration instance detailed in the report, Cheney said: "I don't know anything about that specific instance -- I can't speak to that."
He also said he [B]hadn't actually read the report[/B]. Its full 6,000 pages haven't been released, but a lengthy summary was issued Tuesday. Cheney said he'd "seen parts of it. I read summaries of it."
Contrary to the report's conclusion that Bush didn't know the extent of the CIA's efforts, Cheney said the President was involved in discussions about the interrogation techniques, and that Bush even pointed out some of those conversations in a book he wrote after leaving office.
He said he has no regrets about the tactics used after the Sept. 11, 2001, al Qaeda attacks.
"I think what needed to be done was done," Cheney said. "I think we were perfectly justified in doing it. And I'd do it again in a minute."
So, he admits to not reading it and yet, says it is full of crap?
He says he would do again? Of course he would, there was money to be made.

How do any of these idiots keep us safe? Torture, enhanced interrogation, does NOT work. How does screwing with other countries to further our national interests keep us safer? How does obliterating other countries and killing hundreds of thousands of innocent men, women, children and babies keep us safe?? How does indefinitely detaining innocent people keep us safe? How does killing far more innocent people than "terrorists" with drone strikes keep us safe?
Why does the US rank as #1 threat to world peace? Even among our allies? No other country even came close. No 2 countries added together even came close. Why do you think that is?

I believe govt spending needs to be reigned in dramatically in the right areas .
I believe our borders should be secure.
I believe the big bankers should have been put in jail.
I believe healthcare should be affordable and available to all citizens.
I believe the wealthy have had to "easy" of a tax system for too long.
I believe that our infrastructure needs to be fixxed.
I believe that laws that are on the books need to be utilized instead of drumming up new ones.
I believe that if you are on public assistance, you should be found proper work and accept if able to perform.
I believe that yes, Unions can be very useful to the working class.
I believe that the laws in this country have been stacked to further the wealth of a few over the masses.
I believe Cheney and company did not have our best interest in mind when we went into Iraq.

I hate Apple, I can't stand the back and forth of me trying to jailbreak hardware I own and they continually change iTunes to get me to load new version so they can reset my jailbroken phone.
I'm okay with my Galaxy S4 having a flash counter or essentially an e-fuse that lets the manufacturer know I've changed system software. And my new LG G3 has a flash counter included with last update. The only reason I'm okay with that is because of the ability to overclock the android devices cpu and being able to change audio chipsets.
I paid $498 for the G3 and I was thinking how weird it was to be paying $500 for a Goldstar telephone. But that phone has a 4K display, 3gb system memory, 16gb internal storage, and a theoretical limit of 2tb for the microsd card.
Also my tablet, phone, and phablet all have USB host chipset so you can connect a hub with full size keyboard and mouse. You can also connect to tvs with hdmi, the LG will even output a 4K tv signal.

^^ Sounds very interesting for what I could understand, I'm not the techy type (as Alky will be more than happy to point out) I like the iPhone, it does what I need it to do, I got it mainly for one particular customer for security pics and billing.The iPad? My wife got it for me a couple of xmas's ago, funny thing was that I got her the same iPad the same Xmas. Updates are irritating.
