Quiznos Corp., the Denver-based toasted-sandwich chain that filed for bankruptcy last week.

Quiznos sought protection from creditors March 14, citing a weak job market and greater competition among fast-food restaurants. The chain said it got support from most senior lenders for a bankruptcy plan that would eliminate more than $400 million in debt. The company said it will continue operating during its reorganization.

It was at least 3-4 weeks ago, but I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner. That place was dead most of the time, yet strangely enough, there were long hold times on the phone.

I think it was most likely a victim of poor management.

Two things:

1) PLEASE tell me that is a loop I am seeing, and not three separate incidents!!!

2) Is that the Pizza Hut from Albert Lea?!?!

I had heard that health inspectors came in for a routine inspection and litterally kicked people out while they were eating, and closed it down right then and there. I have no idea what the validity of that is, but that is what I had heard.

Good riddance. No great loss... Austin's closed months ago. Why anyone would spend their diminishing disposable income there is beyond me, with Jake's, Steve's and George's in the area.

There is also one in Mankato, and I have heard they are open in New Richland now, too. Can anyone confirm the New Richland location?
