How could the United States afford a UBI of $1,000 per month per adult?
:dunno:

^^
Rogan's podcasts are a casual format..they're long and in-depth.

Yang was fairly impressive, extremely intelligent conversationalist.
he goes into the trucking AI replacement, you might find that interesting.

Rogan interviewed Tulsi Gabbard another Democrat Presidential Candidate, she was impressive too.

Elon Musk the Tesla of our time, it was an interesting interview, Musk showed his human side. Both Musk and Yang spoke of the danger of advancing AI and wide-scale unemployment.
they were drinking Old Camp Peach Pecan Whiskey..Musk even took a toke...it's legal..

I'd like to see more presidential candidates interviewed by Rogan...

This relates to what Yang and Musk talked about with wide scale unemployment as AI replaces laborers...these are foreign companies
coming here to profit..where's Trump's Nationalism now?

The Wall Street Journal ran a similar article predicting 2021 as the year of AI truck, things are moving fast....

^^ yes, self driving is coming, in fact there’s been some testing. What I do is what JB Hunt calls “final Mile” very lobor intensive. Maybe in twenty years they’ll have that fixed, I retire in less than ten. It’ll be interesting to watch.

Then there’s this,

As far as the grand a month? Who pays for it?

Rogan asked Yang that question a couple of times..Yang seemed to think taxing the entities that profit from replacing the worker with AI
would pay the Freedom Dividend.

At the end of the Podcast Rogan said he'd been skeptical of universal income but Yang and Musk had changed his opinion..

for me it's an extremely difficult situation damned if you do damned if you don't..yes I'm skeptical, but in the coming years we're going lose  a large sector of our labor force to AI...

As for the article on more jobs ..many are part time or contract/temporary. low paying hospitality, big box store or fast food etc. these jobs qualify for subsidies anyway with the universal income you cut or eliminate those tax dollars and programs.

I really like what Yang had to say about the Government throwing money at a retraining programs..it's a waste of money, it's far better to give the money directly.

watch the Rogan Yang Podcast with an open mind....

^^ once again, paying people just for taking up space, in other words, union workers.
Posted by Expatriate on Feb. 17 2019,10:32 am
^^Well he won't be taxing unemployed scab truck drivers..idgit
Posted by Self-Banished on Feb. 17 2019,2:39 pm
^^ unemployed? Hardly :D  we just keep increasing our fees.

And yet, you still have 10 years to go before retirement.  You claim to have been working since 14.  Been trucking for decades yet retirement is out of reach.

Once you get the bill for your portion of the unneeded wall and the trump debt run up you will need to push that retirement date out even further

^^No dipshit, I love what I do, I look forward to going to work every day. Where else can I drive around in a giant vehicle, piss people off, flip them the bird all while making 6 figures a year? You should try work sometime.
