I'm saddened that this hasn't been brought up yet. The protests against the Dakota Access Pipeline. Maybe because mainstream national news has barely mentioned it. While we argue and call each other names over the two idiots running for President, I thought that most, if not all of us probably would find some common ground on this. Eminent domain, peaceful protests on constant attack, some journalists arrested, a movie star arrested and strip searched, and pretty much a media blackout about all of it for months.

A whole lot of information on the situation.

PBS did a documentary on the pipeline, can't remember the name..

This type of land grab on behalf of big oil is nothing new,
check out the Republican sponsored big oil bill  HR5780 ..This proposal would turn more than a quarter of the Ute Tribe’s land into oil and drilling zones. (Utah)

Trump has made this a cornerstone of his campaign ...when he rants about opening up all those millions of acres of Federal land to oil and gas exploration, he's talking about selling our national parks and Tribal land to big oil to balance the budget.. God forbid he should have to pay any tax...

You may not think much of Clinton, but she's pledged to the Democratic Platform..

We can't let tyrants like Trump sell our nation to benefit the robber baron crowd...

I respectfully disagree. What has Clinton done or said about what is happening? What did she do or say about the protestor Tim DeChristopher sentenced to 2 years for peacefully protesting an ILLEGAL BLM auction? She didn't have any problems with the XL pipeline until thousands were protesting in DC. Things stay the same with both of these parties. They both work the same.

Clinton and Obama did and said nothing about the XL pipeline. Even with all the protests, arrests, and eminent domain seizures. It wasn't until thousands protested in DC. And thanks to NAFTA, Enbridge gets to sue. Taxpayers could pay billions to Enbridge. Wonder who has to pay all the people who had their property seized and ripped apart.

And after thousands protested in DC and it couldn't be ignored any more. Heck, it took the State Department 2 or 3 years before they even decided that the Ogallala  Aquifer would be endangered and recommend they change the pipeline route. 2 - 3 years! That's insane. If it wasn't for the huge protests and attention, the pipeline would have been approved.

:dunno:
When we do find out about experimentation on citizens, it's usually,  if not always,  decades later. Then it's "Oops, sorry. Our bad. Nothing can be done about it, sucks to be you. Won't happen again...honest."
Judging from some of the truly despicable and horrifying things done in the past, it would not surprise me if there are still just as despicable and horrifying things being done now.
It's actually lawful to experiment on us. They are supposed to get permission from congress first, get consent from everyone who would be involved, and inform people about risks. But there is absolutely no oversight, no accountability, no transparency.

The Commission requested information from 18 individual agencies that conduct most federal human subjects research, but discovered that many federal offices could not provide basic data about the research they support. The Pentagon, for example, required more than seven months to prepare information on specific studies supported by the Department of Defense.  In its report, the Commission found that the federal government supported more than 55,000 projects involving human subjects around the globe in Fiscal Year 2010, mostly in health-related research, but also in other fields such as education, engineering and social science.

55,000 projects in one year. No idea what they're doing, or even how many people are being used as test subjects.

Since absolutely no main stream news has shown up in ND, there are a couple of livestreams  if anyone is interested. Military vehicles and police are trying to evict people now. Have used LRADS . I can't get the streams to work, but maybe others can.

They have a lot of problems trying to stream this.
