For a guy who kept saying he didn't want to be president it sure seems like he wanted it.

So if he loses will all his great plans go with him. like McCain's end the war plan?

You luvv America but if you don't get elected you can't have your great plans.

For a party that claims to use only intellect and reason, that RNC seemed pretty fraught with emotional triggers.

(Pay no attention to the ominous music. I'm sure that is there to stimulate your sense or critical thinking and reason)

It just seems like more of a Hail Mary bombastic desperation effort. A ramped up version of the Weather Lady from Alaska.

Now more than ever it seems the lines between TV entertainment and politics and news are all blurred.

Isn't the Trumps a TV show starring Eva Longoria?

The Republican debates seemed almost Jerry Springer like.

Who is really making America look bad?

Being President would be pretty sweet in some ways.

Pros:  While Congress limits your ability to do most of what you promised you'd do, you still have enormous influence in the appointments you make to the Cabinet and the Courts.  For a few years you get to use a a pretty nice house, plane, limo, etc.  (Past President's have had to get accustomed to walking into a room without a band playing "Hail to the Chief", and having someone tell them their flight might be delayed or car sitting in traffic.

Drawbacks:  Intervening in tragedies, and when you try to help you'll be blamed by half of the population no matter what.  Your whole family is now in the limelight as well, if your brother gets a DWI or your daughter goes on a date, it's in the news.  Even your pet has reporters following it.  From a superficial standpoint, no matter how black your hair is when you start, it'll be grey in just a few years.  Before the inauguration, you should either start dying your hair, or shave it off.

Either way, I suppose it's good to be king, if just for a while...

Trump reminds me of all the coffee shop pundits I've heard all my life. Always complaining about everything. And talking about how much better things 'used' to be.

Yet look at how he benefits from the world of today. He can use the internet and things like Twitter to promote himself. Just to name one thing.

The future involves lots of robots and tech issues, better alternative energy sources and things that nobody has even considered or dreamed could happen or exist.

It seems like non of the candidates on either side really discuss anything of that nature.
