Saturday night I was riding home with a friend from my father's 70th b-day party and he pulled into Pickerel lake park to use the restroom. I had him drop me off at the bottom so I could take some pictures of the sunset while he was up there.
When he came back he told me there was a man parked about 50-60 yards from the rest room sitting in his car, and when he came out of the rest room the guy was right outside the door and seemed to be checking him out. My friend said he gave the guy the old stink eye and they guy turned around and headed back to his car.
I've heard rumors about Pickerel lake park for years and didn't believe them, but I'm going to have to rethink that now.

Nice picture it looks really colorful.
I've been out on that lake during the later hours of the day before. The sunsets can be pretty nice out there.

I've heard of some strange goings on at the park there before too. Fortunately I've never ran into any of it myself. lol That used to be a fairly popular place for people to just drive through.
The last time I was out there it seemed like the roads were in pretty bad shape. Not sure what the status of them is now.

^ I agree, Freeborn County is very scenic and Albert Lea is beautiful. I've lived in AZ and NC and still would choose my home town as the prettiest.
Thanks for the picture(s), Chad. Both of them. The sunset is beautiful and the picture that is painted in my mind over the story that goes with it. is pretty hilarious too. Bet your friend was wishing he was back at the party while that was happening. I might have to tease him a little the next time I see him. "The old stink eye" comment was hilarious because I can just see his face.
