Like the lanyard secured laminated card. heh
Years ago I was at somebodies house and a guy came to the door selling magazines. It was like a canvasing group of people. They were from like 2-3 states away.
He held up a little laminated card. To show he was. . . I dunno. . trustworthy?
Like something like that couldn't be made right out there in their van. And never mind taking into consideration why you would travel that far to sell magazines.
Nowadays seems everyone needs to have a laminated card necklace of some sort.
Those magazine sales teams are usually duped into working for them with the promise of travel. They are then taken several states away and reminded that they are hired as contractors, not actual employees. The sales teams actually do leave behind members who don't meet their sales quota.
You will never see one issue of any magazine your order from them, but the door-to-door guys generally don't know that. They're just trying to sell to pay the company back for their hotel room and meals. The salespeople are screwed over far worse than the customers. Some places have even outlawed that practice.
