"A Nigerian woman, Ejine Francisca Uzonwanne has filed a lawsuit against Dr. Julie Berny George whom she calls "Auntie". The lawsuit filed in federal court in Minneapolis, USA accuses the defendant of slavery. In her lawsuit Uzonwanne claims she came to the United States seeking a better life, but found herself enslaved. She claims she never saw a dime during the four years that she worked as a maid in Rochester and other cities for the defendant.
Uzonwanne now aged 25 was brought to the US by Dr. Julie George in 1999. Yesterday along with her lawyer and some friends, she explained to news reporters incidents that led to her lawsuit. She said upon arrival to the US the distant relative as she qualified Dr. Julie George, confiscated her passport and other papers. She alleged Dr George abused her physically and emotionally and forced her to do household chores without pay. Uzonwanne said that when she tried to assert her independence, the defendant once locked her up in a basement closet overnight. On another occasion she called the immigration and had her locked up.
Uzonwanne is being represented in her suit against Dr. George by the college of St. Thomas school of law. Brian Cote the attorney handling her case was qouted as saying, "although the defendant didn't use shackles, the defendant did use intimidation and threats of physical harm".
She alleges in her suit, Julie violated the 13th Amendment to the US Constitution which abolished slavery in the country. She is currently seeking political asylum in the U.S. and is presently living with a Rochester couple.
Dr. George, a former Mayo Clinic physician, currently lives in California. She left the mayo clinic in 2003. In addition to the civil suit just filed, criminal charges are also being considered by federal authorities against the defendant."
Check out Rochester cops and prosecutors....They'll fine a kid with a beer and jail a guy with a joint, but a Dr. holds a slave and they don't even charge her. This is true American Justice, make no mistake about it...

Roch cops aren't the federal authority and this case is under federal jurisdiction. Charges are being concsidered and they will require a federal agencies to investigate and a formal complaint will need to be prepared. This isn't a run of the mill dopper gett'n stupid and getting popped by the local police.
