Did any of you see last night's CBS evening news-Eye on America? It was about a video clip of a 15 year old Canadian boy who was secretly videotaped by some of the boys in his school. He is shown whipping around I think it was a pool stick like a star wars character. They put it on the internet and now it is on many sites. Nooze Hound on the Austin forum has it as his avatar. This child has gotten widespread attention for this and has had to go in therapy for this. There was even a website with a petition for people so sign that wanted this boy to be in a movie, but the boy would have no part of it. They went on to talk about other people who show most of their life on the internet and they could be risking their life with some of the nut jobs out there on the net. I don't know if Nooze Hound knew about this boy before he decided to make it his avatar.

Hazy Grrl 14, I am not whining. When a minor is secretly videotaped and it is put on the internet, that is plain wrong. Do you have any ethics? How would you like it, if one morning you went onto the internet and saw yourself on a website doing who knows what. It is a matter of privacy.

Any time a minor is used in this manner it is wrong. Under normal circumstances a parents signature would be required. This should hold true for the internet also.

Used how? Was he exploited for financial gain? Was he somehow molested? Was he abused?
Grow up, this kid was doing this in a place obviously not private and someone else captured the moment for the world to see, big deal. With the number of cameras, camcorders and surveillance devices sold daily, any number of untold comical happenings that are captured daily could soon have the same fate. If you don't want the world to see you acting like a jackass, then don't act like a jackass in the first place!
