Have any of you gone to the Corn Maze in Northwood? If so how did you and your kids like it? I have heard it has an elaborate design and they have a lookout tower in the center of the maze to help people who get lost get back on the right track. How do you get there from Albert Lea?

If you truely want to wander in a field of corn, you just go straight down highway 65 and you will see the signs on the right a couple of miles before Northwood. I suppose a kid might get a kick out of it, although I wonder why. Having lived on a farm for most of my life, and having to walk into a corn field a time or two, I fail to see the entertaining value of it. Maybe in Minneapolis where people really don't know what it is like to walk into a corn field it would be wildly popular. I guess I would just rather poke a sharp stick in my eye.

Mamma, I haven't heard you ever be so negative. I think it would be great fun to go to the corn maze. It would be like hide and go seek in a different light. Acting like a kid is what keeps people young. I also don't think it would be like wandering through rows of corn, it would be just like it says, wandering through a giant maze. If you are having a bad day Mamma I hope it gets better. Like I said I have never heard such negativity from you!!

Ok...sorry about being negative. Have you ever tried to walk through a corn field in August with all the corn pollen dropping on you, mosquitoes eating your face off, and mud all over? Well....I tried it.....and I sure wouldn't pay to do it. Like I said it might be a fun place to drop the kiddies while you went to do something else. They sure couldn't get in much trouble there anyway. Maybe they actually have the walkway wide enough so the corn plants don't cut the customers to ribbons. I didn't really have a bad day either....it consumed the entire week actually. I lost a lucrative contract, my husband had a heart attack, my son lost his job....and the damn dog ran off. It's looking up this week....husband is getting better by the minute, son got a new job, and the dog came home............with 5 new puppies!

Mamma, got to agree with you on not wanting to wander in the corn field, having grown up in a small farming community and working on a farm, I've been through enoough mazes. Sometimes it was so boring, the most exciting thing to do was to go out and watch the corn grow. Anyway, nice to hear your family is growing.
-------------- Actually my wife is especially happy when my google check arrives each month. Thanks to douchbags like you, I get paid just for getting you worked up. -Liberal

I have taken my children to the corn maze in Northwood and it was alot of fun. They give you a map to follow. They do also try to scare you while your in the maze so I wouldn't recommend it at night for small children. If you get lost in the maze though they'll help you out.

Speaking of mazes, I haven't had anyone figure this out yet. Did I make it too hard?
