Has anyone noticed Minnesota Energy has doubled pricing on Bill?
My May statement says I used way more heat than any other month ever. I call them and they cant tell me why and I get disconnected, keep on getting a run around.

Is it electric or gas?
Either way no way you used more in May than any other time.
If you don’t get anywhere request they test your meter.

@ Blackdog...Minnesota Energy uses a call center, these people are hopeless and know nothing about the utility...
It's obvious someone has misread your meter or it's malfunctioned, you could call again and request a serviceman to check your meter. Or you could just wait till the next billing cycle and see if they catch their mistake.
Edit: the only way to deal with this issue is a letter to Minnesota Energy Management and the problem will be resolved.

did they not bill you the previous month so your last bill covered 2 months?
did they verify the read on the meter to see that it makes sense at the time of the test to when it was read for billing?
when they took the meter to test it, they gave you a new meter. Did they just leave that new meter with you after they were done testing or did they swap them out again?
