The Basic Difference Between Liberals and Conservatives
By Gate on June 25, 2012 6:00 AM | 16 Comments

by Jim H. http://www.norcalblogs.com/gate...ves.php
Liberals want to control everyone's lives, while conservatives believe individuals should be allowed the freedom of choice, as long as that choice does not infring upon anothers rights.

Liberals rely on lies to promote their agenda. If the American People actually knew the truth about Liberalism, no Liberal would ever get elected to office, that's why liberals always run as conservatives or moderates.

Everyone has their own views on the way things should be in this world, but the Liberals have taken it uopn themselves to do al they can to force other human beings to bend to their views.

Liberals support extreme environmentalism, Welfare

Breeze, substitute the word "politician" for liberal in your post. In most of the cases you copied from that blog (I glanced at the site but didn't read the whole thing), it will be pretty accurate. The one exception might be the last line - environmentalism and welfare.

You know it is crap when the very first line is this:
"Liberals want to control everyone's lives, while conservatives believe individuals should be allowed the freedom of choice, as long as that choice does not infring upon anothers rights."
Which party is it again that wants to dictate what is legal in the bedroom between two consenting adults?  Or gay marriage?  How does that infringe on anyone elses right to marry?  If there are churches/ministers willing to do the ceremony how can you claim a religious objection other than demanding only your religion counts?
Both parties want to control and dictate.  They just choose some different areas.  But on the whole they are exactly the same.  Both will raise your taxes as high as they think they can get away with.  They only differ on which areas to tax.

Then to have this line:
"Everyone has their own views on the way things should be in this world, but the Liberals have taken it uopn themselves to do al they can to force other human beings to bend to their views."

You know the author is delusional.  Who is it that is trying to make this country a theocracy?  I wish the republican party would go back to be fiscally responsible party and leave religion out of it.  But I suppose playing the game and pandering to the religious right gets instant votes rather than doing the hard work of actually trying to make the country better financially.

Liberals believe in government action to achieve equal opportunity and equality for all.
Its the duty of the government to alleviate social ills and protect civil liberties and individual human rights.
Liberal policies generally emphasize the need for government to solve problems.
Conservatives believe in personal responsibility, limited government, individual liberty, traditional American values, and a strong national defense.
Believe the role of the government should be to provide people the freedom necessary to pursue their own goals.
Conservative policies generally emphasize empowerment of the individual to solve problems.
Liberals believe that individuals are collectively responsible for the welfare of the entire community.  Thus, more programs to help the entire community means higher taxes and bigger government is needed to oversee the programs.
Conservatives believe individuals are responsible for themselves and that the community benefits from the efforts of the individual acting in their interests.  Thus,
less government programs, less taxes, and less government is the goal.

Of course you're too stupid to click on the "About Us" link so you thought the site was written by high school kids. :dunce: I'd guess you think the Dallas Cowboys controls cowboys.com too... :dunce:

I've switching back and forth this morning watching Fox and CNBC and I think it's funny how both sides are "counting their chickens before they're hatched". One says they're close, the other side says they're going to take the house back. If it wasn't so sad about who wins I'd be laughing.

Maybe a select few that are more Libertarian, but conservatives want to control everything from conception til death.  Both when and even how you die, regardless of your wishes, they want government intervention.

They say they believe in life, yet they love the death penalty.  They say they love the Constitution, but ignore parts they don't like.  They love the Bill of Rights, and yet the only one they actually defend is the 2nd Amendment.

Here's another quote from your blog post, Breeze.  And it proves my point.

QUOTE
As far as I can tell, Liberals support everything that is bad and wrong with society...  Liberals support criminals, by allowing them more rights than their victims.
Liberals treat Muslim terrorists with kid gloves, while they strip-search 80-year-old white grandmas.

If you want to have kangaroo courts and just incarcerate or execute folks that you don't like, I guess you can all move to Texas and succeed from the union.  We won't fight to keep you, this time.  Get rid of the electric chairs and just form a lynch mob now and then.  I'm sure you'll use it wisely and equally among all God's children.   :sarcasm:

Arguing for government agents to treat people differently because of religion or race is pretty bizarre.  You can claim it's okay at TSA checkpoints, and I'll tell you it's unconstitutional whether at the airport or a water fountain.  Besides that, the 1st Amendment protects religious freedom, not just Christians and Jews, but Muslims too.

Washington wins. That's it. We the People get screwed over no matter who is in office.
