Once completed, the study would allow board members to recognize strengths and weaknesses of the area.

"It'll profile your community and compare it to other communities," said Marketing Director Pam Bishop.

"They can say, 'Hey, here's what you real strengths are'," said Director Paul Sparks.

It would help the board define the type of development they should pursue.

"We kind of want to narrow the target," said Sparks.

Member Doug Friend agreed, saying "We need a little more refinement."

I wonder what they will come up with this time?  With all the studies done recently, hasn't someone studied this yet?
What development will the study say to pursue?  Meatpacking?!?

Even if you think the ALEDC is a good idea, do you really want to put Sparks and Bishop in charge of all the economic development in Albert Lea?

What they really need is an audit.  Do you think they would support that. :D

Oh yes Sparkey, firms of all types are falling over themselves to do business with you and the city. We must have a study to determine which one we should pick! Like he is going to turn down those not specified in the study. BEGGERS CAN'T BE CHOOSERS you idiot! LOL
