Someone suggested I write a small website for a newsletter type webpage so I wrote that page based on the forum and then I also wrote a program that checks the local news sites every hour to see if there is anything new that's been published. If there is anything new it rebuilds the webpages so that it includes links to the new stories.

The end result was a much easier to use webpage with links to all the local news stories and websites all in one place.

If anyone want's another news source added then just PM me and I'll see what I can do about adding it. Also if anyone notices any bugs or has any suggestions PM me.

Too Cool!  Local and National news headlines all in one place.  This should spur some interesting discussions!

This looks great!! Where are you getting the "posts" from that are in the middle of the web site? Is that off of this forum? I see it was written by jimhanson, but not sure how you are deciding what to put there.

The Albert Lea Tribune needs to go where the Austin paper is. Also, how about KTTC and KIMT?

The post in the middle comes from a topic in the moderators forum (it's only visible to moderators). I'll move it into misc. section so that people can read it from the forums front page.

I added the Tribunes sport section since there were only two stories in the tribune today. I'll work on adding KTTC and KIMT headlines.

Thanks,

I added KTTC and KIMT tonight so there should be plenty of headlines to read.
