Even little Waseca is running circles around Albert Lea.
Hell, it would take Albert Lea 30 years to fill up 350 lots. Mankato & Rochester are exploding, now it is filling in all along hwy14.
More Housing coming to Waseca
People looking for housing in Waseca should have a little easier time of it soon, as five new residential subdivisions promise to add more than 350 lots to the marketplace in the next few years. Waseca city manager, Kris Busse, says demand for lots has exceeded supply in recent years, and he welcomes the new development. Largest of the new developments is Pondview, on the city’s southeast side, which initially will hold 67 lots, but could easily expand to 168.

Even if you think the ALEDC is a good idea, do you really want to put Sparks and Bishop in charge of all the economic development in Albert Lea?
