Is it just me or does anyone else find it amazing that a city on the decline with no good jobs coming in pays millions for a new school, tens of millions for a new courthouse and now more millions for a library?
oh yeah, don't forget about the millions for the lakes.  WHATS NEXT???
Maybe if the investors in the new waterpark on the Farmland site fall though the city can step in and build it as well.
Is there a secret money tree down at city hall that Jean keeps harvesting?

wow, glad I don't pay any of those taxes but I feel for you poor (pardon the pun) people that do!

There sure is, and it looks an awful lot like joe taxpayer!

This city is in no situation financially to go forward with something like this.  What the hell are these people thinking, 'build it and they will come'?  Has it worked yet?  Not just no but HELL NO!  Why can't these people just wait until if-when the economy turns around and things come to a point that it would become more supported?  Why must every public building be rebuilt\remodeled\newly constructed NOW?

But I am realistic, and believe that this thing is going to get railroaded through no matter what the opposition.  I see some nice real-estate over in Mower county so I'm beginning to think that it is well past time to flee this rising tax obsessed place....

Nope, Mower will spend wisely and has more. Taxes will stay steady. And dat's good, because they're already some of the lowest around...property tax that is.

minnow you are full of it
Mower county is just a shade better then Freeborn and thats it.  Keep preaching your dillusional lies and keep dreaming bro.

in reality, mower is almost as big of a poophole as freeborn is, you are comparing 2 terds.  neither county is prospering whatsoever but if you think you are living in a booming propersous county, keep dreaming bro.
