I generally get up on Sunday Grab the paper and put on a pot of coffee and relax reading the Sunday Albert Lea Tribune While my coffee makes. I was done before the coffee was including the comics.

You are so correct. If you want it to last longer, do the crossword---the only saving grace.

Whatever you do don't place a classified add in the newspaper. They'll ask your name and phone number, then without telling you how they'll use the information, a telemarketer from New Jersey will call you and ask you for a subscription to the paper!
Screw em...

They do that anyway, without placing an ad. They pay the phone company to give the newspaper a list of people's names and numbers that have new phone service. Then they call to "welcome you to the community, and see if you want to subscribe to the paper". For whatever reason they screw up though, and call you even if your not a new resident. I've lived here all my life, and have had the same number for over 3 years, but they still call every couple months to welcome me to Albert Lea, and to try and sell me the paper!

At today's commissioner's meeting, Tim Sturrock told me he's leaving the Tribune today and has accepted a job with the Marshaltown, Mn. newspaper.
Once again, no sooner does one of our cub reporters start learning the ropes and starts to see what goes on in our community, that they leave.
Tim, GOOD LUCK!

Sad to see Tim go. Totally understandable though.
Maybe we should have kept the Brilliant Bishops at the Tribune so they could have economically developed the paper into a thriving business.

They didn't deliver mine. I considered myself blessed, although I would have like to read about the game we played at Austin. The wife was really POd, ya see she like the cupons and was accusing me of not paying for the paper again. It wasn't true and I believe she believes me now that the paper boy has again found our house.
