I think Saddom has tricked us all and secretly hid his weapons of mass destruction on the moon. That explains why it's not here in our earthly domain.

And, if it's not on the moon, why of course, they've been moved to Mars..yup...the red planet.

I believe it's our God given duty to go get them at any cost to us as a nation. If you don't agree, you're just giving aid and comfort to the terrorists and for all we know, are probably a terrorist yourself.

Halliburton would be a good company to award both of these contracts. We are already paying them billions for their work in Iraq, we may as well get a package deal. I'm sure old Halli will swing us a deal.

Remember if you choose halliburton, we can release another $34,000 to the AL police for homeland security. They can use it to buy computers to punch everybody in and look for possible terrorists.

PS- I know we told you drug dealers are terrorists even if it's a penny out of every dollar, but Rush was not a drug dealer. The 9503 Oxy pills were all for him. He's a big fellow you know and I'm sure he just needed more than the average guy.

Maybe these million dollar bikes have rocket boosters, so that the Minn Spin Doctor, AKA Minnow, can go to the moon and check it out for us and save some tax dollars in the mean time, so that we do not have to pay through the nose for Minnow's white trash attitude and entitlements.

Topic-starter Minnow may be more correct than anyone thought.  From Reuters News Services:
Quote
"I think the new initiative is driven by a desire to beat the Chinese to the moon," said John Pike, director of GlobalSecurity.org, a defense and space policy research group.

Among companies that could cash in on Bush's space plans are Lockheed Martin Corp., Boeing Co. and Northrop Grumman Corp., which do big business with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration as well as with the Pentagon.

The moon, scientists have said, is a source of potentially unlimited energy in the form of the helium 3 isotope -- a near perfect fuel source: potent, nonpolluting and causing virtually no radioactive byproduct in a fusion reactor.

"And if we could get a monopoly on that, we wouldn't have to worry about the Saudis and we could basically tell everybody what the price of energy was going to be," said Pike.

Gerald Kulcinski of the Fusion Technology Institute at the University of Wisconsin at Madison estimated the moon's helium 3 would have a cash value of perhaps $4 billion a ton in terms of its energy equivalent in oil.

Scientists reckon there are about 1 million tons of helium 3 on the moon, enough to power the earth for thousands of years. The equivalent of a single space shuttle load or roughly 30 tons could meet all U.S. electric power needs for a year, Kulcinski said by e-mail.
It's not WMD based on the moon, but the lunar initiative DOES have major implications of who controlls space.  The Chinese have orbited their first manned spacecraft, and announced intentions to go to the moon--a new "space race".  One of the reasons cited--Helium 3 isotopes.

A check of "Helium 3" on Google brings up 648,000 references--including the fact that it was the basis for the award of the Nobel Prize for Physics this year.  A more detailed explanation of the potential benefits and problems obtaining the material can be found at http://www.space.com/scienceastronomy/helium3_000630.html

Interesting thought.

Looks like a job for old Halli...

How about we by-pass the middleman and just pay our taxes directly to Halliburton.

You'd have to be half nuts to sit on top of a chinese made rocket pointed at the moon and tell them to go ahead and light the fuse. Reminds me of the bumper sticker that says, "If Huffy made airplanes would you fly in one?"

I have a mint 1969 Huffy Rail Musclebike. It's worth more than a Schwinn krate of the same year. It was a better bike than the overbuilt Schwinns of the day...

You sir, just opened mouth and inserted foot!  :D
