To those young folks don't buy into the Republican bullshit about President Carter. I was 27 when Carter was elected, Nixon and Ford had run the country into the ground, just like every REPUBLICAN has done in my lifetime..
Carter was a Naval Academy Graduate, an Honorable man, probably one of the few honest Presidents we've had...
Carter was President during a period of high inflation, worse than today.
Carter wouldn't kiss the Saudi's ass (OPEC) like corrupt Republicans do.. He actually put solar panels on the White House but Reagan tore them off, another corrupt Republican..don't believe me check out the Iran-Contra affair..
It was Nixon who fucked things up, took US off the gold standard. Appointed Arthur Burns to Fed Chairman with instructions to ensure easy access to credit similar to what Trump did to US with his pressure on Mnuchin and Powell to take US to a zero interest rate...
The loose money of the Nixon era took a decade to get under control...Just as the loose money of Trump will...
Stop voting for these Crazy ass Republicans and their easy money trickle-down bullshit...
They're robbing you idgits but you're too dumb to realize it...
Farewell to a real President...
-------------- History is no more than the lies agreed upon by the victors.
The similarity between the Trump Presidency and Nixon's are all to real..Nixon imposed a 10 percent TAX on imports during his failed Presidency just like Trump!
^^ 1976 through 1980 was a economic disaster, no jobs, interest rates through the roof, Iran hostage crisis. The only good thing Peanut boy did was give us Reagan. Maybe you should dig your old cardigan out and watch his “fireside chats” again.
I suppose you like him though, he pardoned you so you could come home from Canada.
Carter should be comforted though, he’ll assume room temperature not being the worst president in history.
^^ yeah, I was, then college. It doesn’t take a fancy education though to recognize how much of a failure he was, nice guy but a failure as a president.
If you want though, I have an unopened six pack of Billy Beer in my office I’d sell to you. ( I guess the pedocrats were practicing distraction way back then. )
Wasn't a real fan of his presidency, although most of my distaste is from recollection from when I was super young (Born in 73) Reagan was the first President I really remember. But he is certainly the most accomplished ex-president we have ever seen. His humanitarian efforts are unparalleled and should set the bar for all future ex-presidents IMO.
-------------- After we screw up health care reform, let's take on the initiative of unscrewing the education system (gov't education) Tacitus: (c. 56 AD-c. 117) "The more corrupt the state, the more it legislates."
