I moved to Albert Lea in 2010. In that time I finished a 7.5 year project to build the Swedish warship Vasa (the only intact 17th century warship in the world) in miniature and from scratch. Here are some pics of my work:
Through this project, I also discovered that I can carve sculpture in wood...
I also like to build historic firearms.
My Baker rifle:
And a matchlock musket that I built after one from Vasa (I carved the stock for this one):
In 2011 I made some 1:10 scale Vasa artillery that went to the Vasa museum in Stockholm Sweden to be displayed on their 1:10 scale model.
A pic of the masters that I made for making molds:
And some of the installation in Sweden:
You can see more of my work here:

Enjoy!!

Thank you!
I just wrote a short biography on myself as well on my website that explains how I got to live in Albert Lea:
https://sites.google.com/site/clayton707/a-short-biography
My wife and I like it here. It is quiet and we like the slow pace, but yet there is a big enough population to support businesses that provide most things that you need.
Cheers! Clayton
