Giojoe's Unsung Musical legends Corner
Posted on: Oct. 08 2010,6:34 pm by gijoeman

I'd like to take this oppurtunity and share with you some real unsung hero's you may never have heard of.

First up is Rambling Jack Elliot. This guy was a major influence on Bob Dylan and a recorded version of this cover is brilliant on his first album in 1968. Here it is performed live in TV in about 1970's ish or so. Notice the brilliant guitar work and musical feel at a time when everyone was preoccupied with the Stones and Beatles.

Fields Ablaze-Popcorn Everywhere
Posted on: Oct. 07 2010,10:06 pm by gijoeman

Just a reminder to let you all know how dry it is out there. Everything will burn at this point.

Please remember to keep a lid on your fall fires or we'll have popcorn everywhere and overflowing onto the streets!  Reports of fields a poppin' all over.

Victim of Domestic Violence
Victimized by the Courts
Posted on: Oct. 07 2010,11:15 am by McGeek

Mother was assaulted buy her 18 year old son the Police was called he was arrested. This 18 year old is still in high school and lives at home. He still awaits trial on the charges. While he waits his mother is required to pay all the fees related to the terms of his release so far in the 1000.00's of dollars. She is feeling victimized by this process again and she feels the court is punishing her for his actions.

I called the victims counseling center in hopes of advise to find an avenue of victims relief funds were she would not have to pay for his court release conditions.

The only thing that they had to offer was "what do you think will happen if she stop paying the fees."

"It would be a violation of his release agreement. He would have to go back to jail."

She doesn't want him in jail she wants him in school.

Does anyone out there know of any funds or program that would help this single working mother.
